Overhand knot
The overhand knot is the simplest and most
commonly used knot. It is used to prevent the end of

strong and should not be used in situations where
great force is expected.

Square Knot (or Reef Knot)


The Square Knot is used in simple applications to tie
two pieces of rope together. It is simple to tie and
easy to untie. However, it is knot very strong and
should not be used for any besides simple situations.
