II. Complete the sentences with the past perfect or simple past.

Remember that:
Used to: for the affirmative form we use used to and the main verb goes in simple present form.
Example: I used to sleep early when I was a child.
for the interrogative form we use did and the main verb goes in simple present form.
Example: She didn’t use to work on Saturdays.
for the negative form we use didn’t and the main verb goes in simple present form.
Example: Did they use to do it in the mornings?
We use it for actions that we did in the past but not today or for action that we didn’t do in the past but we do today.
Usually: for the affirmative form we conjugate the verb with s / es for he, she, it. And for I, you we, they
the verb doesn’t have s / es.
Examples: I usually cook every other day. / He usually calls his father once a week.
for the negative form we use don’t / doesn’t and the verb goes in simple present.
Examples: We don’t usually do exercise on weekdays. / She doesn’t usually get up early on
Sundays.
for the interrogative form we use do / don’t and the verb goes in simple present.
Examples: Do you usually help them? / Does he usually tell them the truth?
We use it for habitual actions in present and usually goes before the main verb.
