YELLOW AUXILIARY POWER (ELECTRIC PUMP) - SERVICING
WARNING : BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR NEAR
MECHANICAL FLIGHT CONTROLS OR PRIMARY FLIGHT CONTROL
SURFACES, LANDING GEARS, ASSOCIATED DOORS OR ANY MOVING
COMPONENT, MAKE CERTAIN THAT GROUND SAFETIES AND OR
WARNING NOTICES ARE IN CORRECT POSITION TO PREVENT
INADVERTENT OPERATION OF CONTROLS.
BEFORE POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE AIRCRAFT MAKE CERTAIN
THAT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS UPON WHICH WORK IS IN PROGRESS
ARE ISOLATED.
BEFORE PRESSURIZING HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, MAKE CERTAIN THAT
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM UNDER MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN ISOLATED.

Pressurization of Yellow auxiliary hydraulic system using
Yellow system electric pump.

(a) Check Yellow hydraulic reservoir fluid level, top
up if required.

(c) If cargo compartment doors are open, make certain

that safety collars are in position on actuator
rods. Display a warning notice prohibiting their
operation.
(d) Energize the aircraft electrical network (Ref.
24-41-00, P. Block 301 ) . Make certain that
electronics racks ventilation is correct.
(e) On HYD PWR panel 427VU
Make certain that AIR legend is off. If not,
pressurize hydraulic system reservoirs (Ref.
29-14-00, P. Block 301 )
(2) Pressurization
(a) On panel 9VU, press ACCU PRESS pushbutton switch
8GX
(b) On panel 4VU, check that ACCU PRESS indicator
reads 3000 PSI (206 bars).
(c) If required, close cargo compartment doors (Ref.
52-33-00, P. Block 001 )
NOTE : The system may also be pressurized by
means of cargo compartment door control
selector valves 15MJ and 16MJ when the
doors are opened or closed.

(3) Close-up
(a) Depressurize system if required using pressure
relief manual decompression valve 3067.
(b) De-energize the aircraft electrical network (Ref.
24-41-00, P. Block 301 ) .
(c) Remove warning notices
(d) Remove all ground handling and maintenance
equipment, standard and special tools together
