Objective of the Course
 To impart knowledge about Moodle software
 To learn Moodle installation on local server and Administration Dashboard.
 To get Knowledge how to browse a Website.
 To get the knowledge of various blocks that serve purpose or information

OVER VIEW OF moODLE

 An LMS helps us to create, manage and deliver any learning content. For
example Educational Courses, Training programmes.It also helps us to
manage courses.
 Moodle provides detailed Documentation, which makes it easy to use. The
Moodle user community and forums helps are very active. The free plugging
available in Moodle make it even more Feature-rich.
 Moodle is easy to navigate on all devices and has detailed reports, on
activity and participation at course and site level. Also helps in collaborate
as well as personalized learning.
 Moodle is a responsive free and open source software.
 It is one of the most popular LMS used globally by Educational Institutions.
 Its security controls keep our data safe and protected.
 Moodle uses forums, peer assessments group management, learning paths
etc., can be used for that.
 Who all can use Moodle? ➢ Educational institutions like Universities,
Colleges, Schools and Coaching institutions

GETTING READY FOR INSTALLATION

 Getting ready for Installation Moodle ➢In this we can learn about pre-
requisites for installing Moodle and check for packages on Local host also
Database setup.
 Pre-Requisites for Installing XAMPP➢To install Moodle 3.3 , we should
have a system that supports
INSTALLING MOODLE ON LOCAL SERVER
 In this we can learn to download Moodle and Install Moodle on ensuring
Pre-requisites are met .We should have a database setup with Username
Moodle –set.
 In addition we can learn about Data directory➢ Folder where all file content
uploaded by teachers and students. ➢Data directory folder needs to have
read and write permissions.

ADMINS DASHBOARD
 In this video we can get an impact on Administration Dashboard Blocks in
Moodle
 Blocks are items that serve a specific purpose or information.
