same. Owners holds you fully responsible for any claim, liabilities, loss, damage, coast and expenses of
whatsoever nature which Owners may incur as a result of any defect, miss description or discrepancy between B/L
description and actual cargo specification and condition on loading.

I hold you fully responsible for all consequences that may arise by reason of your failure to comply with

Please be advised that after loading a cargo of Naphtha a volume of

Cub.M/BBLS free water was measured in the cargo tanks.

Prior loading, the ship's tanks, lines and pumps were certified empty and well

drained by surveyors of the company:

On behalf of my Owners I herby protest against the aforesaid water content, as well as any
increase in water content which may occur at discharge port, and I reserve the right to refer to
this matter at a later date should this be deemed necessary.

the cargo of Naphtha loaded on board my good vessel at

Odessa (port/terminal) on the 01.09.2020 (date) on my behalf

This authorization is limited to the signing and releasing of the Bill's of Lading, provide all details including
quantities/quality have been approved by myself and/or the Owner/Operators of my vessel,
Norient Product Pool, on my behalf.

This letter intended to comply with the charter party and must be applied in conjunction with the relevant provisions
contained herein. Bill's of lading signed by you without the above conditions being fulfilled will be considered to have
been signed without my authority.

Important notice:
You are required to email / fax a copy of the Bill's of Lading for the Masters approval prior to utilizing your authorization
to sign and release. Do not release Bill's of Lading to anybody before you have received Master's agreement and clearance

LETTER OF PROTEST
Restrictions in discharge performance
As per the charter party the vessel must discharge the entire cargo (all ports) within 24 hours or maintain a
backpressure at the manifold of 100 psi (7 bar). During the discharge at your terminal my vessel has:

Maintained 100 psi (bar) throughout the discharge operation, except for hours of stripping time.

Discharged the entire cargo on this voyage within 24 hours.

My vessel has not been able to meet either of the above requirements due to the
following restrictions from the terminal and/or charterers:

The maximum backpressure allowed by the terminal was bars / psi

The maximum discharge rate allowed by the terminal was cbm/hour

Due to the high viscosity of the cargo it is not physical possible for the vessel to obtain the required
backpressure on the manifold. However, on the delivery side of the cargo pumps the back pressure has been the
maximum possible throughout the discharge operations.

Due to the high viscosity of the cargo the stripping operation has been prolonged and has lasted for hours.
With a lower viscosity (higher temperature) of the cargo the stripping operation could have been performed much
more efficiently and faster.

The terminal did not allow the vessel to discharge more than one grade/parcel simultaneously.

The terminal was using booster pumps ashore.

High vapour cargo. Vessel needs to discharge at reduced rate to prevent “gassing up” cargo pumps.

Other reasons and stoppages (please specify):

In addition to the above my vessel has been restricted in her discharge performance because the terminal has only provided
x inch shore arms/hoses whereas my vessel has the capability to discharge through x
inch shore arms/hoses.

In view of the above I reserve the rights of my owners, charterers, operators and any other party to revert at
any given date for any delay, expenses and consequences caused by to the above restrictions.
