of asexual

What are the -binary fission

methods? -fragmentation
-budding
-parthenogenesis

Binary Fission: A type of cell division that most prokaryotic cells are
involved with. It includes DNA replication,
chromosome segregation, and finally, the separation
of two new, identical daughter cells. Since prokaryotes
are simpler, the process of binary fission is much
simpler than mitosis.

Fragmentation: A process that occurs when a parent organism breaks

into pieces, and then the new pieces, or fragments,
develop into identical organisms.

What is an example of A starfish can reproduce by fragmentation.

fragmentation?

Budding: A process that occurs when a parent cell forms a

bubble-like bud that stays attached to it until the cell is
fully grown and developed. When the cell and bud are
fully developed, the bud detaches, forming a new,
identical organism.

Parthenogenesis: A process that occurs as the growth and development

of an embryo that has not been fertilized by a male.
This is not very common, but it may be found among
amphibians, birds, and reptiles, but NOT mammals.

Is asexual Rapid
reproduction rapid or
slow?

Why is the rapidity of because it allows them to crowd out other organisms
asexual reproduction that reproduce more slowly.
