1. Model the IEEE 9 bus system in RSCAD with the provided data
2. Apply a load event (Load C with 10% step increase for active power), make plots of generator
output and system frequency
3. Apply a generator event (G2 with 10% active power decrease), make plots of generator output and

Assignment Submission
• You can work together for the RSCAD project and use the same plots. But you have to give
your own explanation of how to model the IEEE 9 bus system in RSCAD, how to run it and
make plots, apply load events and generator events.
• Use PI model to represent the lines.
• The report should NOT be more than 10 pages.

4 Transformer Data
The data inputs highlighted for the generators should be put according to the generator tables.
Use the same parameters as in the screenshots for the three generators – only the generator rating
and names are different.
Please make sure that the machine, governor, AVR and PSS have the ‘Gen’ name as the machine name.
