2 INFORMATION FLOW
2.1 Whenever a Road Transport Emergency (RTE) occurs on account of accident to a Tank Truck (TT), the tank truck crew (driver/cleaner) TT Crew Transporter
shall inform the following Supplier, Reliance Industries Limited, Jamnagar, (RIL) , Nodal Agency as decided as soon as possible. TT
crew may also inform nearest Police post/ Fire brigade.
2.2 The Jamangar District Administration or the Police or the Fire brigade also on receiving the information either from TT crew or any other Jamnagr district Administration/ District Authority
source about the occcurance of a RTE shall inform the following Nodal Agency as decided as soon as possible. Police/ Fire brigade.

2.3 In case phone is not available , TT crew to send message through any other Truck, Tanker or any TT Crew Transporter
volunteer to the nearest Police post, Fire brigade , BC/RIL offices.
2.4 On receiving the information of the accident, the RIL Nodal Officer shall immediately inform RIL Nodal officer RIL
1) Police station / Police Headquarters
2) District Administration
3) Fire Station
4) Zonal / Regional Head Office of company owning the product
2.5 On receiving the information of the accident from the TT crew or other resources the RIL RIL Nodal Officer RIL
Nodal Officer shall immediately inform the RIL emergency response Team.

3)The following resources shall be immediately arranged by the RLL/RIL owned/ hired
tank truck, if required, in consultation with their respective site management
- Two empty Tank Truck to be identified and kept ready for sending to the accident site as and when needed. Alkylation Plant Manager RIL
- If required, arrangement to be done to send a mobile crane to accident site for assistance RLL/ SSM through RIL
Transporter / P&M cell
- Rescue team to carry identified equipment as per Appendix - 1 Alkylation Plant Manager RIL
- Rescue team to carry communication equipment Emergency Response Team RIL
- Requisition ERV ( Emergency rescue vehicle) if available Emergency Response Team RIL
3) - Rescue team to carry communication equipment Emergency Response Team RIL
- Rescue team to carry identified equipment as per Appendix - 1
4) In case the BC / Transporters are not able to provide crane in time, for tankers owned or hired by them, RIL shalll provide the RIL Refinery RIL
crane on chargeable basis.
5 Training/ Information/ statutory requirements
5.5 Ensure that all statutory requirement and Motor vehicle Rules are adhered to for transportation of hazardous goods BC/RLL/RIL representatives RIL
5.4 Ensuring that the TT crew have all relevant documents / information such as TREM card, statutory training requirement, safety certificate, Security Officer RIL
relevant legal document s( test certificates, registration, license) while reporting for unloading at refinery.
