TSA Officers

Officer Expectations:
● Lead the chapter by example
● Encourage and support the success of the chapter
● Encourage chapter involvement at conferences throughout the year (Tech Day, Fall Leadership
Conference, State Leadership Conference)
● Remain in good academic and disciplinary standing

Officer Duties:
● Attend all scheduled officer meetings
● Organize, lead and attend general chapter meetings as well as other chapter functions
● Develop short term and long term goals for the school term
● Create an event calendar for the school term that meets outlined goals
● Communicate and coordinate with TSA adviser and TSA officers
● Must attend Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence (CORE) in September
○ Friday-Sunday weekend retreat in North Georgia

Preferred Qualifications:
● Previous or current enrollment in CTAE Engineering pathway
● Previous member and participant of TSA
● NOHS leadership retreat and/or other leadership training

Officer Descriptions

President The President presides over and conducts all chapter meetings, represents the
association, leads the coordination of activities with the officers, and coordinates
with the advisor.

Vice-President The Vice-President assists the President in his or her duties, and also leads the
coordination of activities with the officers. He or she presides at meetings and
other official functions in the absence of the president.

Secretary The Secretary prepares agendas, records proceedings, and maintains attendance
for chapter meetings and functions.

Treasurer The Treasurer is responsible for the chapter funds. He or she works with the
advisor to keep financial records in order and up to date, devises fund-raising
activities, and assists in preparing an annual budget.

Reporter The Reporter accumulates and prepares materials for school newspapers and
other publications, and assists in the planning and arranging of exhibits. He or
she is responsible for collecting photos from meetings and functions.

Member-at-Large The Member-at-Large serves in any capacity as directed by the president, and
assumes the position of any absent officer as needed.

interviews to discuss any questions about the application.
