After finishing the BEED program, the graduates should be able to:
Knowledge:
1. Demonstrate basic and higher level of literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning;
2. Facilitate learning in elementary/secondary education guided by principles and methods of facilitating learning;
3. Integrate meaningfully and comprehensively biblical principles to the knowledge of the subject matter to real life situations of learners;
4. Apply the latest developments in the field of elementary/secondary education;
Skills:
1. Apply a wide range of teaching and facilitating process skills including curriculum development, materials development, educational assessment, and teaching
approaches;
2. Innovate on effective alternative teaching and learning approaches, methodologies, and strategies to improve student learning;
3. Facilitate meaningful learning of diverse types of learners in diverse types of learning environments, using a wide range of teaching knowledge and skills;
4. Communicate effectively in oral and in written forms in both English and Filipino;
5. Participate in generation of new knowledge and development projects;

The bachelor of Elementary Education is a degree program designed to prepare students for becoming Elementary School Teachers. Graduates of this program are
expected to be well-equipped with necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that will aid them to facilitate the teaching-learning process of any subject for the primary
level.
V. COURSE INFORMATION
COURSE CODE: GE 3
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the interactions between science and technology and social, cultural, political and economic contexts which shape and are
shaped by them. This interdisciplinary course engages students to confront the realities brought about by science and technology in society. Such realities pervade the personal,
public, and global aspects of our living and are integral to human development. Scientific knowledge and technological development happen in the context of society with all its
socio-political, cultural, economic, and philosophical underpinnings at play. This course seeks to instill reflective knowledge in the students that they are able to live the good life
and display ethical decision making in the face of scientific and technological advancement. This course includes mandatory topic on climate change and environment
awareness.
PRE-REQUISITE: None
COURSE OUTCOMES: At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Articulate the impacts of Science and Technology on society, specifically Philippine society;
2. Imbibe the importance and contributions of science and technology to society;
3. Examine shared concerns that make up good life in order to come up with innovative and creative solutions to contemporary issues guided by ethical standards; and
4. Illustrate how the social media and information age impact their lives and their understandings of climate change and demonstrate the impact of social media on the
students’ life and Philippine Society in general.
