While it is a much-needed initiative to conduct on-campus classes besides our e-learning portals,
it can only be a success if the SOPs devised by the Government (Annex I) and the School, are
strictly followed. For this, we need the cooperation from parents by facilitating the school through
strict adherence to the rules and regulations regarding daily operations of the school and by
preparing their kids to do the same while they are inside school premises.
We understand that the parents and students have questions regarding the new school routine
during the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties as to what to expect on the first day of school.
Therefore, we are providing all the relevant details below, so that your child rejoins the school
feeling safe and confident.
1. Staggered classes will be conducted for all grade levels, i.e., each section of a grade level
will be divided into two equal groups (1 and 2) and each group will attend the school on
alternate days of the week, including Saturdays. For example, Group 1 of a class will attend
the School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while Group 2 will attend the School on
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Students assigned a particular group will be allowed
to attend classes on the allocated days only and will not be allowed to attend classes with
the other group.

2. While the on-campus classes resume, online sessions via Zoom will be suspended.
However, communication through Google Classroom and assessments on Learn Smart
Classroom will continue as being practiced.
3. Wearing face mask is mandatory. Kindly make sure that your child attends school with
a face mask and carries a back-up fabric mask inside his school bag in case the mask he/she
is wearing, damages for any reason. Any student without a face mask, will sadly not be
allowed to enter the school premises.
Students must also carry a pocket-size hand sanitizer and a handkerchief for personal use.
Moreover, please make sure that your child brings all the necessary items (water bottle,
stationery items, course books etc.) to school to avoid borrowing items from other students.
4. Morning assembly and lunch breaks will be held inside the classroom. Students must head
to their respective classes upon their arrival to school in the morning. Moreover, each
student must bring home-made lunch. Edible items will not be sold at the tuck shops.
5. Parents/van drivers must follow the route map shared by the school (Annex II), i.e., only
the designated gate of the branch must be used for the pick and drop of the child. Moreover,
for the safety of your child, kindly make sure that he/she is timely picked after school
timings are over and does not remain inside the school premises for more than half an hour
after go-home time.
6. In case you are availing van service for your child(ren), kindly make sure that the van driver
understands and follows all the SOPs relevant to School Van Services, mentioned in the
Post COVID-19 SOPs for Operating Public and Private Educational Institutions (Annex I).
He must also follow the route map for a smooth traffic flow during the morning and go-
home time and prevent gathering of vehicles and people in the vicinity.
7. For the safety of your child(ren) and others, kindly do not send your child to school in case
he/she has increased body temperature (fever).
We look forward to your cooperation in making Al Murtaza School a safe learning place for
everyone. In case of any query, feel free to contact the respective branch of your child on the
