1. What is air?

Answer: Air is all around us. Air is made up of different gases. We cannot see the air, but we can feel the air.

2. What is moving air called?

Answer: Moving air is called wind.

3. What kinds of things blow about in the wind?

Answer: Dust, paper, leaf, branch, etc, blow about in the wind.

4. What does a candle-flame need in order to burn?

Answer: A candle-flame needs air in order to burn.

5. Where do we get our water from?

Answer: We get our water from the rain.

6. What containers do we store our water in?

Answer: We store our water in drums, buckets, tanks, reservoirs, canals, etc.

7. What do we use water for?

Answer: We use water for -


watering, cleaning, washing, cooking, brushing, bathing, drinking, etc.

Answer: Water is very important to us. Water is the source of life. All living things need water to survive. Water is
tasteless and colourless. It is transparent. We should drink clean water. We should not waste water. We should not
throw rubbish into the water.
