SUBJECT: 4016TAG silicone charge air hose.

This TIB applies to all generator set models GEP2000-1 and GEP2200-1. These generator
sets use the Perkins 4016TAG1 and 4016TAG2 engines.

Photo 1 shows the current charge air bellows, fitted to the cold side pipes between the
radiator and engine on these generator sets.

A design improvement has recently been introduced.

The metal bellows have been replaced by assemblies of silicone hose and metal pipe.

These are shown in photo 2. They have improved durability and reduced vibration levels.

The Olympian spares part number is shown below. The quantity required per generator set
is 2.
