Activity 2 – Analyse a Document

1. The writer of the document is Normal Poole. The Site Manager of Witherby power plant
site of Parry, Parry & Gibson.
2. The document is addressed to the executives of Parry, Parry & Gibson and anyone related
to Parry, Parry & Gibson who is obliged or has the right to know internal reports of the
company
3. In my opinion, executive summary is a summary that provides an overview of a larger
document or research where it usually the first thing the reader will see.
4. In my opinion, Finding is a process of action for reasoning and form a conclusion
5. I do share the same opinion where I think Mullet and Sons must pay for the replacement
for the generator as where they have neglected the contract regulation in which causes
damage to the generator
6. My suggestion is before working we must check and make sure everything or every
equipment is running well to avoid accidents.

Activity 3 – Composing a Business Report

1. Executive Summary
 Ford Motor Company is a global company based in Dearborn, Michigan. Where the
company designs, manufactures, markets and services a full line of Ford cars, trucks,
SUVs, electrified vehicles and Lincoln luxury vehicles, provides financial services
through Ford Motor Credit Company and is pursuing leadership positions in
electrification, autonomous vehicles and mobility solutions. Ford Motor Company sales
in China totaled nearly 1.200.00 vehivles in 2017, down 6 percent compared to 2016.
2. Introduction
This report will look at
a. The sales of four main Ford Motor Company vehivle in December 2016 and 2017
b. Greating from the Chairman and CEO of Ford
c. Overall sales in 2016 and 2017 December
d. Recommendations to avoid future decline in sales
3. Findings
a. Ford Motor Company sales in China totaled nearly 1,200,000 vehicles in 2017, down
6 percent compared to 2016.
b. The December sales for Ford Motor Company in China totaled more than 140,000
units, a 9 percent decrease year over year.
c. Lincoln sedans, including Continental and MKZ delivered brilliant sales performance
with nearly 23,000 vehicles sold in 2017, up more than 200 percent year over year.
d. The annual sales for Changan Ford Automobile (CAF) totaled nearly 827,000
vehicles, down 14 percent compared to the full year 2016. CAF achieved the sales
increase quarter over quarter for the third consecutive quarter in 2017.
e. Ford Escort set the best-ever monthly sales with December sales increasing 18
percent to more than 42,000 vehicles.
f. Monthly sales for CAF totaled more than 102,000 vehicles, down 12 percent
compared to December last year.
4. Conclusion
The data from the report shiows that Lincoln, Ford Escort, and Ford Mustang are popular
among everyone because their sales keep increasing rather than others where they also set
the best sales record in December and other products of Ford like CAF and Lincoln have
been decreased compare to last year’s data.
5. Recommendations
a. I think for should really focus in the sales for Lincoln as the top focus in Ford China
b. Ford Motor Company should promote their product more and keep giving high
quality products.
