Song Material “If you happy and you know it…”
Instruction Plan
Introduction :
o Say Hello to each other
o Describe the activity and process for the day
Warm up
o Allow the students to warm up their voices together, using text from
the song or solmization ( doremifasolasido ), before singing.
1. Activity 1 : Explanation
Introduce the students to the new song ( this allows the students
to hear the song before learning it )
2. Activity 2 : Singing
Teach piece by rote
Repeat the sections many times
Have buddies work individualy ( as necessary ) to learn
sections
Strive to teach the entire song to the group
3. Activity 3 : Review
Review the section of “If you happy and you know it…”
that were taught
Student can review the entire song, so they can keep the
new song and motions in their memory.
Warp up
o Perform the song “If you happy and you know it…” that were learned
using correct motions and singing the correct lyrics.
