Lesson Plan Music 2

2nd Quarter
I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the 45 minutes period; with 100% proficiency level, the pupils should be able
to:
a. Identify natural and man-made object with repeated or alternated shapes.
b. Create a consistent pattern by making two or three prints that are repeated or alternated
shapes.
c. Appreciate the importance of shapes in arts.

C. Materials: Little xylophone,Human Piano , Musical piece, pictures of
children in different positions of the following tones (do ,mi , so , do )

A. PREPATORY ACTIVITIES
a. Prayer
Teacher: class, let us all stand and put
ourselves in the presence of the Lord as
we pray.

b. Greetings

Teacher: Did you noticed that every
chair has a name tag?
Teacher: Every chair has your names.
Just seat on the chair where your names
are located. I will mark absent to those
who are not in their proper seat. Is that

B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES
Teacher: Children, sing any songs that
you've learned from the past. Student answers..
(After that let the children tell something
about their favorite singers)
Teacher: How many of you have seen a
piano
and want to sing with the piano? Student answers..

C. MOTIVATION
Select eight pupils of different heightsfrom
the class and arrange them from the
shortest to the tallest. (do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-
do).
Let the pupils sing the pitch using the
human piano. Start from the lower do. Student sing..
D. ACTIVITY
Let them listen to the song “Tayo Na! Tayo
Na!”.

Let them sing after they heard the song. Student sing..

E. ANALYSIS

Ask the different tones they have noticed in the


song.
(higher-do,high-so, low-mi, lower-do)

Group the class into four and assign each group to


create body movements to show the different tones
:

Group -1 - Lower Do
Group -2 - Mi
Group -3 - So Student answer group activity..
Group -4 - Higher Do

Using the song “Tayo Na, Tayo Na” pupils can


show the different pitch of tones.
Pupils can also use any musical instruments to
show the different tones they‟ve learned in the
song. Student answer..

What are the different tones that you have learned


from the song ?

F. ABSTRACTION

Songs can be composed of different tones such as


lower do, low mi, high so and higher do which we
called pitch.

Show a little xylophone and play it.


Student observe and listen..

Give emphasis on the high,higher, low, lower


tones on the piano using the notes- Do as the
lower, Mi-low, So-high, and higher do.

(Show pictures of children in different positions


with the notes Do-Mi-So-D

G. APPLICATION

Group activity
(5 members in each group)
Ask the each group to listen very carefully
to the tones given by the teacher.
Ask them to draw a flower if the tone is
high, circle if it is higher , leaf if it is
low and square if the tone is lower . Student answer..

H. GENERALIZATION

Class, pitches is composed of how many? Student answers..

I. EVALUATION

Group Activity

Teacher will let the student listen to the


song "Leron Leron sinta".
Student sing the correct pitch of the songs that
they have heard. ( Students will do their activity)
IV. ASSIGNMENT

Observe different sounds from your surroundings that can produce low, lower, high and higher
tones. List them in your notebook. Use body movements for each pitch of tones.
