Warm Up / Introduction

Copy the objectives on the board and ask questions to students about the previous class, let all the Ss
participate.
Warm up: Paper airplanes messages. Ss have to write down 3 pieces of information about themselves on a
piece of paper. After that, they’ll make a plane with the paper. You’ll play a song and while the song is playing
they’ll have to throw the airplanes around (of course, getting any airplane that lands next to them). Once you
stop they’ll get the plane they have in their hands or right next to them and read the information and try to
guess who wrote it.

Vocabulary:

Use pictures of newspaper cut-outs to introduce the vocabulary then have Ss do Ex. 1 on page 28. In groups.
Ordinal numbers.
Practice repetition drills and then have Ss work in pairs and do Ex. 8 and 9 on Pg. 30.

Where is …? Make 6 different groups. Leave some Ss out. Give each group the name of a part of the house on a
piece of carton. Give commands to Ss such as: go to the kitchen. Then ask them to sit down and do Ex 11, Pg.

Activity 3:
Listening / Speaking
Listening: First ask students whether they pay rent or not. Then tell them to open the book, page 31 and do Ex.

Vocabulary: Draw and learn: provide each student with a white piece of paper. Then ask students to choose a
picture from Ex. 13 page 31 or Ex 1, page28 and draw the picture. Then give them color papers. They color the
pictures. Finally, have them display the pictures on a big poster to keep it on the wall of the bulletin board if
there is one.

Grammar:
Students are organized in groups and they read the examples and discuss the rules, then they do the Ex 14 and
15 on page 32. Then they compare with other groups.

Reading
Students close their books and copy the Ex. 2 and 3 from the board. Then they listen and complete the tasks.
Students open their books and check the answers for the listening exercise. Then they read the conversations
in groups and do Ex. 4 on page 29. Then, students ask questions about the new words meanings in the
conversation.

Wrap up: Give each student a piece of paper. Tell them to write what the teacher should do and should not do
