Program Title:
Facilitating Skills for More Effective Learning

Program Description:

Enabling Skills for More Effective Learning is a 1-day seminar-workshop on

fundamental teaching skills for teachers with at least 1-year teaching experience. This
program identifies the most important teaching skills all teachers must have to
effectively facilitate learning among individuals with varying needs, interests, and
activities. It involves person-to-person communication as the teacher skillfully reaches
out to individual learner’s understanding of the lesson being presented to them. In this
program, the participants actually experience how these facilitating skills are done as the
facilitator demonstrates how to engage learners to actively listen, clarifying messages at
both the feeling and the thinking levels, interpret messages, ask intelligent questions and
show personal reactions to verbal and non-verbal stimuli through various
communication activities including the art of dealing with silence.

Program Objectives:

1. To identify the most important facilitating skills teachers should have in order to keep
individual learners actively involved and motivated to learn.

2. To engage the learners in various communication activities that will keep them to
become independent thinkers and problem-solvers.

3. To train the learners on how to get along well with others, grow in self-awareness and
social-emotional skills to prepare them to meet the challenges in their day-to-day life
situations.

4. To continuously develop one’s self and his students to become better persons and
