Preparing Students for Online Instruction Teacher Plan

(This plan intentionally is repetitive. If all teachers follow this plan, all students will be able to
access their itslearning accounts. Jim will be providing videos of each of these days for teacher
use, student use, and for those students who do not physically attend.)

 Day 1: (Teacher’s responsibility with students. Notice… no student computers used.)

o Students watch video about itslearning (in Teacher Packet)
o Students learn/review how to log on to a computer using their district username
and password (Usernames and Passwords provided to each building).
o Students learn how to access itslearning site.
o Students learn where their itslearning courses are located and how to access them.
o Students learn where itslearning tutorials are located (The HUB).
o Teachers go to https://pub.lucidpress.com/itslearningStudent/ to show students the
tutorials booklet and how to navigate through the booklet.

 Day 2: (Teacher’s responsibility with students. Notice… no student computers used.)

o Students review how to login to their computer and to their itslearning account.
o Students review where their courses are located and how to access them.
o Students learn about the Overview tab and how to navigate it.
o Students learn about the Plans tab and how to navigate it.
o Students learn about the Resources tab and how to navigate it.
o Teachers go to https://pub.lucidpress.com/itslearningStudent/ to show students the
tutorials booklet and how to navigate through the booklet.
o Teachers show the students how to navigate through their personal course(s).

 Day 3, Day 4, and 5 and longer if possible: (Teacher’s responsibility with students.
Notice… students computer use would be ideal.)
o Students review how to login to their computer and to itslearning.
o Students review where their courses are located and how to access them.
o Students learn about the Overview tab and how to navigate it.
o Students learn about the Plans tab and how to navigate it.
o Students learn about the Resources tab and how to navigate it.
o Teachers go to https://pub.lucidpress.com/itslearningStudent/ to show students the
tutorials booklet and how to navigate through the booklet.
o Teachers show the students how to navigate through their personal course(s).
o If possible, reserve computers for students to practice logging onto and for
accessing their itslearning course.
