PHILIPPINES: BENEFICIARY OR VICTIM OF GLOBALIZATION

Philippines have been on the run many years ago to be one of the successful
states in the world and now in the time of globalization, there are so many changes and
innovations that the current trend in economic world have offer. Some of the countries
across the globe can cope up with it specially on the first world countries but how about
the one who until now striving to be them like the Philippines. Can really our home land
one of the beneficiary of globalization or it can the other way around?

Globalization is one of the key of the countries through the globe to economic
stories, many shared thoughts on being successful to it. But in every situation there is
always the one who favorable to them and the other one is not like in the Philippines.
Yes globalization is a huge statement it’s actually a good news for us here because it can
give a thousand of jobs for us Filipinos, much easier way to trade or to export some
goods or products to the foreign countries of course the mobility of people from one to
one country as now the country show case the non-visa for more easier access on the
part of investors and businessman, and so many on. As we go on the positive side or the
positive factors that the globalization have, now we look at the negative side of it. First
as Philippines is practicing it’s democracy decades ago, globalization has an never been
a democratic choice it is more business and tactic driven, that unfortunately been who is
the top can make the rules or the choices, there is no debate on the publics as
democracy power comes from, for example here in the Philippines there are so many
policies that have been arise along as the globalization pops out one the example of the
law s the free trade, yes free trade can be beneficial but in some small business here will
be not that happy as the as the income from the export good will be decreasing , well as
the interdependent countries pro for it because of the input that they can get to the
other countries to make the output much more easier and less cheaper. As we said
interdependence is countries that have this particular product can be produce in less
amount by getting some of tho input in other states like here in the Philippines, we
export do me of our goods like electronic parts. fruits and vegetable and even people,
yes this things can help the output to be cheaper if it can make it the market that can
gain eventually more profits but how about those who export their goods to the other
land to make other product they attain to get much lower income as we again the free
trade arise. And Philippines is abundant of so much resources that other countries crave
for that in fact I think that many of our resources been consume of other countries than
us Filipino and also because of this so much natural resources have room for changes
and innovation as the globalization offer. Because we Filipinos are so afraid in
experimenting like what’s happens on the nuclear power plant in Bataan, it be our one
step for the innovation and advance technology for us not to rely on to the resources we
have but take this down, because of political or what so ever issues.

And as I reflect this issue, yes definitely globalization can hit a country in a blast
or in a plop, like in every situation that we have there are always who are winners and
there are always losers.
