2. What are the problems that the company is facing? Discuss each.

Well, at first Sundown Bakery were only manage by two persons, only Carol who manage
the clerk and while Bruce was on the operation and all the orders, given that he is a baker. In
this stage the only problem that I can see is how the bakery will grow with just two people
operating the whole extravaganza, but I think because of the persistent of the two and the
good quality of their products, the bakery business grow. And by that it raises a problem they
needed more manpower because the demand of the costumers and more products from the
bakery are getting out. And because of that the Sundown Bakery family were become more
occupied by their own work, yes they have a chance to communicate being there is only five
of them running the whole bakery but on the other half there is side of them, diminishing
little by little and that is they’re communication

And these whole small businesses become so frantic, when the time they starting to
branch out and due to that they must employ more people to satisfy the urge of the bakery
business. Until it expands progressively, adding more employees here and there. The small
problem that they had, before these whole circuses of bread takes place then sadly it become
a white elephant on the whole business. Many of the old employees, stating that the
connection of everyone is not as what is it like before. In the beginning of the bakery they
treat all of part of the bakery as a family. But Sundown Bakery becoming a huge business, the
connection from the employer to employees and as well as the relationship to employees to
employees, became a one-way street. Like the holy memo is their only way to know what is
happening to the whole sphere. There is no clear voice from the employees, especially on the
lower class. That makes it whole worst rather what it is seems, that it infiltrates some hidden
grudges to one another. That not just the issue of lack of communication arise but also the
discrimination on the sex gender and other disabilities. These all together makes the heart of
Sundown Bakery, melts.

3. What model of communication with corresponding activities would you suggest solving each
problem that you’ve presented?

The Interactional model is the they needed to solve each problem that I mentioned. It is a
two-way process between the owner and the manager, manager to the employees, the
message must be first announced by the higher and receiving feedback so that they can
effectively run a business. Bruce and Carol must be more superior but a good listener at the
same time where they can openly accept suggestions by the employees but not letting them
to make sudden changes. The main solution of these problems is “communication is the key”

4. What ethics of communication must be followed in Sundown Bakery?

First is accepting responsibility, this refers to Carol and Bruce, they must be more responsible
to their position as an owner of Sundown Baker. Second, speak non-judgmentally that refer
to Jose by being sexist and underestimating the woman. Lastly, respect privacy and
confidentiality which is related to the profile of the employees in different way
