Prof Poonam Pradhan Saxena

Prof Poonam Pradhan Saxena is presently the Vice chancellor of National Law
University, Jodhpur. Prior to that she was the professor in charge of Law
Centre -II faculty of law, University of Delhi, Delhi. She specializes in Family
Law, property law, women and law and was teaching in Delhi University for the
past 32 years. She is a senior Fulbright scholar and has delivered lectures on
family law in University of Baltimore, Maryland USA. She is also the recipient
of Shastri Indo Canadian women and development award fellowship, pursuant
to which she has delivered lectures on women and law related topics in eleven
different universities across Canada. She has authored nine books on law
including four volumes on Halsbury's laws of India. She has written more than
50 articles that have been published in national and international journals and
books of repute. A prolific speaker she has addressed judges at National
judicial academy, academicians and legislators from foreign countries and
delivered lectures at several other national and international forums.
