Resource Leveling –
Over allocation
Resource Leveling – resolves resource conflicts or
over allocation by delaying or splitting task
To fix over allocation go to Resource tab then
Level options then go to leveling options
Then you can choose how do you want to go about
leveling it by what criteria and by what order.
There is an automatic level but people don’t
recommend this because it make cause a big
problem
You can click level all and will automatically level
based on the settings in the leveling dialogue box

Formatting
To color text, select the row item and select color
you want. All of those you can do in Microsoft
word are working for Microsoft Project.
Go to Format Tab then click on Text Styles then you
can select items like Milestone and set color for the
item. Then all the milestone will automatically set
the color
Other example like the summary task to change the
color
Spell check can also be ran. Go to Project Tab and
the Spelling icon or F7
Same from the View Tab you can see the Filter
From Task Tab you can use the Find icon to find
text.
Views
Same thing on the View Tab you can click on Calendar
Then select More View then you can copy or Edit.
View also can be done by selecting Tables icon then say
select cost from the Gantt Chart also and you can see
all the cost quickly.
Also from table you can select the work, summary, usage
and others, and you can go to more tables and you
can copy any of the tables or can create your own if
you don’t want to change any.
You can copy and you can do what ever you want. Also
you can insert rows and you can add more other things
and click OK.

Format Icon
From Format Tab go to Format Icon two
options are Bar and Bar Styles.
In the Bar you can go to Bar Text select items you
want to be on the left, right, bottom and on the
top of the Bar
Bar styles are also available when you right click on
the Gantt Chart
