ENGINEERING PROJECTS
Store-Board (Capstone) | Boston, MA Spring 2020 – Summer 2020
• Conceptualized an innovative solution to a common consumer problem, designed a compact modular snowboard which
allowed for easy travel and storage during the offseason and included a GPS module.
• Conducted FEA analysis to find locations of high stress and deformation in the snowboard assembly and determined
minimum safety factor to compare design with other iterations.
• Utilized data from the FEA analysis to optimize the latching assembly which reduced stress concentrations in the assembly.
• Conducted transient thermal analysis utilizing forced convection coefficients, obtained from CFD, to determine the maximum
operation time for the electronics under freezing conditions.
F135 Engine Analysis | Boston, MA Spring 2020
• Completed a detailed analytical study of a F135 jet engine, utilizing ANSYS flow simulation and ESS, in order to efficiently
calculate fundamental properties in each stage of the engine.
• Utilized information obtained from Pratt and Whitney and simplifying assumptions to determine the overall efficiency of the
F135 jet engine.
Prototyping Drone Propeller Designs using CFD | Boston, MA Summer 2019
• Collaborated with a small a team to model derivative drone propeller designs to optimize performance.
• Calculated the theoretical thrust of each design using CFD simulations and compared the results to find the most efficient
drone propeller.
• Utilized a Stratasys J750 SLM 3-D printer to efficiently create low cost and high-resolution prototypes of each propeller
design for verification testing of the simulated results.
• Designed and created a custom test fixture, using an Arduino microcontroller and load cell, to conduct performance tests on
each design.
• Produced a technical report detailing the design, simulation, manufacturing, testing, and results of each propeller.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
KX Technologies | West Haven, CT August 2019 – December 2019
Engineering Co-op
• Developed a test method and fixture to characterize a freeze event within a filter housing, determining the transient pressure
curve.
• Utilized the data obtained from the experimental tests to conduct FEA and fatigue simulations on new filter housing to
determine if the design could withstand the loads which occur during a freeze event.
• Aided a small interdisciplinary team with customer design change requests on a complex assembly for a multi-million dollar
contract bid.
Collins Aerospace | Windsor Locks, CT December 2018 – May 2019
Supply Chain Intern
• Developed reporting tools to call out risk for customers to support the management decision process.
• Balanced an array of time-sensitive tasks that directly impacted supplier relations.
• Lead a transition to outsource repetitive activities to a low-cost source.
• Repurposed a communication tool between offsite labor and Collin’s management teams for clearer visibility on unsatisfied
customer need.
