Short Essay:
“My Love of Country”
I am a Filipino and I'm proud to say that Philippines is my country, no matter what
happen I will not forget where I am from, I will not feel embarrassed if someone tell me
that my skin is dark and I won’t allow them treat our country Like a trash. My heart, my
soul is belong to my country, I will love my country like how I love myself, I will take care
my country like how I do to my parents and I’ll proudly to tell people that I am Filipino
from the beautiful country that full of love and beautiful places, I’ll show to them how
beautiful and pure, kind and polite Filipino are. I love my country, the land of my birth, I
will never forget how my country suffer before, how my country protect me and help's
me to build and shape myself. And I’ll proudly to say that my country has a very rich
culture and tradition that you will love. I just remember how Jose Rizal Fight and
sacrifice his life for his country freedom and he inspired me also to be an example of
youth in the future, I ‘ll do also my best like how Jose Rizal do to our country. As a
youth, as a Filipino to be able to help my country I’ll follow the pledge of the Philippines
flag, Like what Jose Rizal say “ Ang kabataan ang Pag-asa ng bayan” I will study hard
to become an effective citizen and I will do my roles as a Filipino citizens.

His Novel
Jose Rizal become a part of propaganda movement where the other
Filipino also wanted a reform. He also write his first novel that become a
famous entitled Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not/The Social
Cancer), represent how Philippine’s suffered under the Spanish colonial
rule that also focus on catholic friars. Jose Rizal against in Spanish
government and because of his novel he awakened Philippines
nationalism.
