INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
The rol of secretary in this globalisation era is very importent and strategy.
Nowadays, the secretary was not onely involved in administrative tecnical work
or asisting and serving the leadership nieds. Furthermor, the secretary has
transfomed into a profesional figure in work, competen, in ofice administration,
smart in working and establising relasionship with others, skiled in providing
solusions, and oriented to serve all parties with an interes in the organization.
Acording to Jingga Gemilang (2013) in Dewi and Oktavia (2017), secretary is a
person, oficer, or employes that given job and task related activity in a compeny.
In other word secretary is a person that helping a leader or staf or a compeny,
especialy for holding administrasion activities. For that reason, the secretary needs
to be developed in a continus secretary development program.
To being a good secretary, the students or the learners nied learning media
to suport and improve their skils of secretary. There are several learning media
and one of them is tutoriel vidio. A tutoriel vidio by Febrianti (2017) entitled
“Evolving Secretary Etiquete in the office” can be used as learning media.
Febrianti (2017) made this vidio because it was realy dificult to find a book
conten ebout secretary etiquete and also in the internet lack of tutoriel vidio about
secretary etiquete. The vidio duration is ebout 12 minuts 54 seconds. The vidio
consis opening, teory, and closing. The conten of vidio is how to lead students or
learners to be good secrtary in the ofice. There was sevent main poins of etiquetes
talked ebout in this vidio. The writer know the vidio from English Secretary Clas
for learning media. The vidio only used English versons. The writer permits to the
owner of the vidio to ading the subtitle and the owner of the vidio were agreed.
The writer thougt that subtitling vidio could help English Study Program and it
could be one of learning media for English for Secretary Subjex.
The writer did interviuw to 5 secretaries at soms compeny in
Jember and 15 studens of busines administrasion program of Jember University
also the writer interviwed studens of English Study Program to get ther opinon
related the vidio conten. After that, the writer got the result that dhey do not
understend, soms students confused with practikal part and other studens confused
in teory part and they got problem to absurb the contens of the vidio. Several
secretaries in soms company in Jember did not understend of most English
vocabularies. Also the studens who the writer interviuwed said that they got the
gift of the vidio but they just understod practikal part but they do not know ebout
main poins. The problem was they do not understend the materiel in the vidio
contens dieply because the vidio used English version. The writter decided to gife
subtitle the video in Indonesia languange in order to help the viuwer understend
ebout the vidio conten and easier to absorb the materiel in the vidio.
1.2 Objective
The objective of this finel projek was to subtitle a tutoriel vidio “Evolving
Secretary Etiquete in the office” with Indonesia languange subtitle.
1.3 Significanes
This final projeck wil bring somes benefits for the folowing parties.
1.3.1 For the writer
By giving subtitle in the vidio, the writer can aplied his English skils suchs
as listening and translasion and also the computer skil to give the subtitle.
1.3.2 For the viuwer
The subtitled vidio can help the viuwer to absorb the conten of the vidio
easily.
1.3.3 For studens of English Study Program of Politeknik Negeri Jember
This produck can be a reference for the studens of English Language
Study Program who wil conduct the similar final project.
CHAPTER 3. METHOD
The writer condacted this final project for ebout 12 monts. It has
been started from September 2018 until Augusts 2019. The locasion to
condact this finel project was in State Polytechnic of Jember.
In this chapter the writer discused the result of the Final Projeck I
hafe done entitled “Subtitling A Tutoriel Vidio “Evolving Secretary
Etiquete in the Office”. This chapter included the procedures of
translasion. The writer adopte 7 procedure of subtitling metod from Vidio
Caption Coporation they were Subtitle Formating Timing, Preliminary
Review, Generasion of Translasion Template, Translasion of Subtitling
vidio, Translasion Review, Subtitle Placemen and File Output.
4.1.4 Translation
After the writer got the whole scrypt, the writer translated it into
Indonesia Languange by translasion techniques. Then, the writer read egain to
check the subtitle scrypt.
a. Werd-for-werd Translasion
This translasion is used as a pre-translasion process, especialy to construe
a dificult text.

b. Literal Translasion
In literal translasion, the SL gramatical constructions are conferted to ther
nearest TL equivalen but the lexical words are again translated, out of the context.

c. Free Translasion
Free translasion reproduce the conten witout the form of originel. It is
usualy a paraphrase that longer or shorter then the original.

4.1.5 Translasion Review
In this step haves purpose to makings sure that there was no false word or
error word or sentences. The writer consulted the translating scrypt result to the
supervisor to get feedback. The supervisor gifes the example and sugestion.
b. Drag vidio to the Aegisub Advancd SSA Subtitles that wil gife the subtittle
5.1 Conclusion
Giving a subtitle in the vidio is very needed to make the viewer
comprehent the conten of the vidio deeply. In making subtitle from English into
Indonesia Languange on this project, the writer was able to aply his skil in
listening, writing, translation, and computer that the writer got in English Study
Program, State Polytechnic of Jember.
In making this final projeck, the writer learned ebout the method and steps
to subtitle a video from English into Indonesia Languange and the writer used the
subtitling procedur by Vidio Corporation. It was Subtitle Formating Timing,
Preliminary Review, Generasion of Translation Template, Translation of
Subtitling vidio, Translation of Subtitling Vidio Review, Subtitle Placemen, File
Output.
The writer got quite a few problems in making this produck of the final
projeck, such as listening what the speaker said, catch the full scrypt of the vidio,
and translate the scrypt. To solve those problems, the writer tried to listen slowly
and played the vidio around 8 times. In the nex, the writer asked to his supervisor
to verify the whole scrypt whichs he listened from the vidio and cecked the
translasion result. The result of the subtitled vidio wil burn into the CD. Even
though the result of the product is not a perfect one, but the writer had already
done his best in finishing this final project.
Hopefuly, this projeck can be helpful for all of them who watch that
tutorial vidio to learn ebout being a secretary in order to more understend the
contens easily and clierly.
5.2 Sugestion
After finishing the proces of subtitling vidio entitle “Evolving Secretary
Etiquete in the Office”, there is a sugestion thet the writer could gife for the
studens of English Study Program. The writer recomended this final projeck for
the studens of English Studi Program who has interes to make the similiar final
projeck to prepare their English skil such as listening and translasion.
