SCENE I

Narrator : Once upon a time there were two kingdoms that were the worst of neighbours. In one
kingdom live folked with a vain and greedy king to ruke over them. For in the other kingdom, the Moors
lived every manner of strange and wonderful creature. And they needed neither king nor queen but
trusted in one another. There was a fairy-girl who protected the Moors. Her name was Maleficent.

SCENE II

Narrator : One day, Steffan and Maleficent became the most unlikely of friends. As it will friendship
slowly turned into something else. But one day because of the ambition of Steffan to be the next King,
he was instructed to kill Maleficent however he cannot kill Maleficent, so he cut Maleficent's wing. And
because of that, Maleficent turned into a mad woman. The Moors became worst after Maleficent had
cursed the Moors.

SCENE III

Narrator : Because of hatred caused by King Steffan, Maleficent has a high revenge, and she want
to do this revenge to the daughter of King Stefan, Princess Aurora.

[At Princess Aurora's Christening]

[Atmosphere turn to dark, wind howling, and people on the scene were wondering. Then Maleficent
stepped on the scene]

Maleficent: Well, well. [Maleficent's laugh quietly]

[Maleficent walks toward King Steffan]

Maleficent: What a glittering assemblage, King Steffan. Royalty, nobility, the gentry, and... [She laughs
maliciously] How quaint, even the rabble.
[Maleficent stares at an Obviously nervous King Steffan]

Maleficent: I must say, I really felt quite distressed to not receiving an invitation.

King Steffan: You're not welcome here.

Maleficent: [Whimpers mockingly] Oh. [Maleficent starts laughing] Oh dear, what an awkward situation.
[Turn as if about to leave.]

Queen Leila: You'rr not offended?

Maleficent: Why, no. And to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift on the child.

King Stefan: [Stand forcefully] No! We don't want your gift!

Knotgrass: Stay away from the princess!

Thistletwit: Yes! Stay away!

[Maleficent throw the fairies flying accross the room, falling into a chest. She looks at baby Aurora
pensively]

[Begins to cast her spell]

Maleficent: Listen well, all of you! The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all
who meet her.

Queen Leila: That's a lovely gift.

[King Steffan fearful of what Maleficent's gift will hold next]

King Steffan: Don't do this.

[Maleficent presses her finger to her lips.]

[Maleficent spots a Spinning wheel

Maleficent: But... [Walks to the center and looking straight to the eye of King Steffan and cast her next
spell] Before the sunsets on her sixteenth birthday, she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning
wheel, and fall into sleep like death! A sleep from which she will never awaken.

King Steffan: Maleficent, please. Don't do this, I'm begging you!

Maleficent: I like you begging. Do it again.

[Maleficent motions for him to kneel and King Steffan kneel before Maleficent, his advisers looking on in
disapproval.]

King Steffan: I beg you.


Maleficent: Alright. The princess can be woken from her death sleep, but only by...

[Maleficent glares vindictively at King Steffan]

Maleficent: True Love's Kiss [Short pause] This curse will last 'till the end of time. No power on earth can
change it!

[Maleficent walk out to the scene and laughing maliciously]
