    A GUIDE TO LISTENING, READING AND WRITING

    LISTENING:
    1. Understand key vocabulary
    2. Read the questions before listening for main ideas
    3. Read the questions before listening for detail

    READING:
    1. Preview text
    2. Understand key vocabulary
    3. Read the questions and then check for main ideas – skimming and scanning
    4. Read the questions and then check for detail
    5. Reading 2 should always be used as a guide on how to plan your writing assignments

    WRITING:
    1. Collect information eg. from reading 2 / personal experience / internet
    2. Understand Grammar of that unit and use it in your writing
    3. Plan your task by making short notes of your main ideas and details
    4. Go over the checklists to make sure you have included everything
    5. Only after completing all of the above do you do your writing assignment
