EEN 340 − Signals and Systems

Catalog description: Basic concepts in linear system theory. Analysis of continuous and
discrete signals and linear systems. Convolution and correlation. Sampling theorem. Spectral
analysis. Fourier series and transforms. Z-transform. Discrete Fourier transform, and
introductory topics in telecommunications, acoustics, and image processing.

Type of course: required major course for Electrical Engineering and Computer and
Communication Engineering students.

Pre-requisites: EEN 202–Circuit Analysis II and MAT 235–Ordinary Differential Equations.
