Starter :
1. Teacher introduces the topic and theme of today’s lesson.
2. Teacher informs Language Objectives to the pupils.

Pre Lesson Set induction :


1. Sing a song titled ‘Smart Friends.’ Teacher plays the song. (CD, Student’s Book,
Page 5).
2. Teacher asks the pupils to sing along.
3. Teacher introduces the characters (Greg, Anna, Sharky) and vocabulary in the
song using flashcards.

Lesson Activity 1 : Let’s describe


Development 1. Teacher sticks the flashcards of targeted vocabulary (straight hair, curly hair,
blonde hair, purple, ugly and pretty) on the whiteboard.

2. Teacher points the first flashcard (straight hair) and introduce the language
focus by saying “She has got straight hair.” If the teacher has straight hair, touch
it saying “I have got straight hair.” Ask the pupils on the meaning of the
vocabulary.
3. Teacher repeats the same method to introduce the meaning of curly hair and
blonde hair.
4. Point to each purple, ugly and pretty flashcards, read aloud the adjectives and
encourage the pupils to guess the meaning and repeat after the teacher.

Activity 2 : What’s in the envelope?


1. Teacher divides the pupils into pairs and give each pair an envelope containing
different number of picture cards and adjective word cards. (DS1-Task)
2. The pupils are asked to take out picture cards and adjective word cards in the
envelope and describe the pictures using the correct adjectives.
3. Exchange the envelopes with the other groups after that.

Activity 3 : Showcase time!


1. The pupils present their work in the front.
2. Teacher reviews the adjectives by pointing the flashcards of the adjectives.
3. Pupils describe the flashcards using the correct adjectives.
E. g. : This is Anna. She has got blonde hair.
