Mexico’s New Strategy
Learn at Home. We Learn Together
The pandemic that the 2020 has brought us made us do a full 180 on our daily lives. The school is one of the
most affected areas. Fortunately, with the time the government and the people seem to have adapted to
homeschool and online classes very fast.
The face-to-face classes and the modern methods that
combine the technology, although they share the same
objective, both use a very different infrastructure than the
one traditionally known.

new technology advances, children now have the opportunity to
learn in a new background, therefore earning a new experience and
entering a new era of education.
In Mexico, there are several
parents who refuse to enroll
their children at school this
year, according to them, virtual
education is not worth it and
not useful for the development
of a child. Now that’s where
parents are wrong, this is the
reality in which children now
live, and as minors, it is their
parents responsibility to
provide the right tools for life,
resilience being one of them.
If you as a parent are denying the righ of education to your child, you’re
denying his full development in life, taking away the oportunity of
learning to fase adversity and change, and as human beings we must
have the capability of adaptation. The wrong message most parents have
is “if you don’t like it, avoid it” instead of “if you don’t like it, try to
accomodate and make the best out of the circumstances”.
The Pandemic is not optional, and neither are the SEPs decision for the
well being of our children.
It is true, virtual learning is not the same thing as live learning, yet it
comes to us as an opportunity to seize today, and that might help us
tomorrow. We should let the children try and experiment with the new
technologies this generation has doted us with.
We should stop raising weak children, we should teach them resilience
and acceptation. Children today are preparing for the world they were
born to live in, not their parent’s; things like parents knew it are gone,
and they want it to be exactly like they did when growing up, yet we
should encourage growth, change if it is for the better.
It’s temporary, but at least they will know how it works.

This school year will begin on August 24, 2020 and end on July 9, 2021, taking 190 days of school.
Students will have classes via television, Monday to Friday and the schedule depends on the grade, in

Homeschool and online classes are a very different way of education to which we are not used to.

This shows us that education transcend and adapts to the new times with the help of
technology and innovation. For now this is the new way of homeschool which we will be working
