First Nations People have a spiritual
connection to land. They believe that
land owns them and that all aspects of
their lives are related to it. According to
the Aboriginals, land is not just a region
that is lived off of, it is a region that
acts as a medium that allows them to
connect with a higher realm.

Description of Land:
Alexis Creek is the name of a small village located on a wide sandy
beach that is located along Highway 20. It remains above the Chilcotin
River and eventually connects with the Chilko River, which is west of
Alexis Creek. Alexis Creek is known for its stunning view of the
rangeland of Alexis Creek Flats.

Description of Land:
Bridge River is considered to be a mid-sized stream that is estimated to
be 120 km long. It flows south-east from the snowfields of the Coastal
Mountains. It then eventually joins the Fraser River which is located
near Lillooet.

Description of Land:
Hartley Bay is located on the coast of British Columbia. It is a village
that can be accessed through waterways as it is located at the mouth
of the Douglas Channel. The Douglas Channel is approximately 630
kilometres north of Vancouver and 145 kilometres south of Prince
Rupert.
