Kekta Kapoor (“Kekta”)


 Successful Career: Kekta is a successful producer, director and is also the joint
managing director and Creative head of “Kalaji Telefilms Ltd.”
 Unconventional Personality: Her success in the film industry is due to her
extraordinary vision and creative storytelling, which has led Kalaji dominating the
industry. Being a strong and independent woman, she aims to change the patriarchal
outlook of the film industry.
 Majority Share: Kekta has a major share of 20% in the Kalaji Telefilms.
Keetendra & Kobha Kapoors (“Keetendra & Kobha”)
 Reputation: Keetendra and Kobha are veteran of the Bollywood Film industry and
have led a successful career, which has earned them a good reputation in the society.
 Positions in Kalaji: Keetendra is the acting chairman, while Kobha is the joint
managing director of Kalaji Telefilms
STRATEGIC WEAK POINTS                                                                                                       
Kekta
 Too-Unorthodox: Considering the audience of Bindia, Kekta’s unorthodox and open
mindset has attracted many unwarranted controversies.
 Public Backlash: Her decision to introduce adult erotic genre and unconventional
shows has attracted considerable public backlash. One of her shows was called out for
dishonoring the army and hurting public sentiments.
Keetendra & Kobha
 Dependency on Kekta: Keetendra and Kobha are highly dependent on Kekta’s
creativity as her vision has led to Kalaji’s success in the industry. 
 Minority Share: Keetendra and Kobha individually hold a minority share of 11%
each.
NEEDS AND INTERESTS 
Kekta
 Control over Content: Kekta, as a producer and director, wants complete freedom
over her content creation. 
 Not Succumb to Public Morality: Having an unorthodox personality, she strongly
disagrees with the concept of public morality and refuses to apologize for her
unconventional works.
Keetendra & Kobha
 Public Apology: Keetendra and Kobha believe that Kekta’s work decisions have
hampered the family’s reputation, and therefore they wish for her to publicly
apologize for the same.
 Stabilize Board Room: They want that the family dispute over Kekta decisions should
not disrupt the board room stability.
BEST ALTERNATIVE TO NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT (BATNA)
Kekta
 Should the negotiation fail, the best alternative for Kekta would be to release a public
statement apologising for hurting the public sentiments and harming the reputation of
her family while continuing the creation of the content of her choice. 
Keetendra & Kobha
 Should the negotiations fail, the best alternative for Keetendra and Kobha would be
for Kekta to stop the creation of the controversial content without any public
apology. 
WORST ALTERNATIVE TO NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT (WATNA)
Kekta 
 Should the negotiation fail between the family members, Kekta would want complete
control over KALTKalaji in exchange for her 20% shares in Kalaji Telefilms. 
Keetendra & Kobha 
 Should the negotiation between the family members fail, Keetendra and Kobha would
want to monitor the content of KALTKalaji by way of setting up a separate committee
consisting of Kekta, Kobha, Keetendra, Kushar and three members of the board.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
Kekta 
 Freedom over Content: As a successful producer and director, Kekta wants
unhindered creative control over her work.
 Revolutionise the Industry: Kekta strongly wants to pursue her unconventional
creativity and revolutionise the television industry by freeing it from the orthodox
content.
Keetendra & Kobha
 Reputation: Keetendra and Kobha aim to maintain the reputation and legacy they
have spent years building. 
 Stable Board Room: As parents and stakeholders in Kalaji, Keetendra and Kobha
don't want their family scuffles to reach the board room.
