A. Give your insights on the four (4) NSTP SLABS

EDUCATION – it is a right that people to have education, but through given circumstances, some
people cannot afford/continue their education. The institution can help these out of school youths and
adults to provide seminars, trainings, and/or workshops for people to enhance their skills and
knowledge. Also, after this project was held in communities, the out of school people can apply their
knowledge that they have acquired to their lives and also, they can teach each other or other
communities as well.

ENVIRONMENT – with the abnormalities in our weather and climate, people should be aware
that there is something happening to our environment. The institution is here to provide information to
the adopted community on what is happening to the environment. In return, the community can make a
big difference to their environment by making solutions to the environmental problems.

RECREATION – being able to have fun as well as to learn at the same time is crucial for every
people. In this way, people in the community will be encouraged to learn by doing activities that will
enhance their capabilities, leadership skills, general knowledge, and most importantly their camaraderie.
This will help the community to help each other in times of need.

B. What community project would you propose on each NSTP SLAB? How do you think the community
will benefit from it?

In the educational sector, I will propose a project that involves seminars on how to save money.
This will help the adopted community to survive in our society today. Nowadays, necessities are so
expensive that some people cannot even earn anymore. This proposal’s target audience are the
hardworking parents and people that have low salary.

In the environmental sector, I will propose a project that involves teaching people how to wash
their hands properly. This project will help the people of the adopted community to minimize the
number of people that are getting sick. This will also help the community to be healthy and being
hygienic. Being clean in thyself can be a great help to environment.

In the recreational sector, I will propose a project that involves team building activities. This will
help the community appreciate the meaning of teamwork and leadership. By doing these kinds of
activities, they can help each other out in any given situation anytime and anywhere.

In the awareness sector, I will propose a project which involves seminars about catcalling and
how bad it is. This will benefit the adopted community to be more respectful to one another mostly to
the women. This will promote the image and respect of the adopted community.

C. Make a reflective statement for the following components.

a. Engineering and Health Support and Delivery System (200 words)


In terms of engineering expertise and health services this SDS involves students in
community work. Students will plan and implement simple field-related projects that benefit the partner
communities. These simple projects to be carried out will have a two-term duration. This SDS involves
students in community work in terms of engineering expertise and health services. Students are
planning and implementing simple projects related to the field that benefit partner communities. There
will be a two-term duration for these simple projects. Students pursuing this SDS will serve all partner
communities of MAPUA-CWTS. EHSDS shall include: ESDS CHE-CHM, BT ESDS ME ESDS CE-AR ESDS IT
ESDS EE-ECE-COE HSDS NURSING Other EHSDS shall be carried out in accordance with the community's
needs. Each EHSDS will provide services on alternative schedules to accommodate all partner
communities. This will help healthcare and engineering participants identify healthcare challenges that
could benefit from a system engineering perspective, including efficacy, safety, and efficiency.
Participants assessed aspects of healthcare culture and practice through examples and lessons from
within and outside the healthcare sector. Students will plan and implement simple projects that can
help the community with which they will be immersed, this project must be in line with their line of
study. The EHSDS will be implemented in accordance with the needs of the society, the EHSDS will
accommodate the society that needs the specific project in their community.

b. Learning Support and Delivery System (200 words)

The ALEAP-LSDS is available to out-of-school youth and adults from Mapúa University's
adopted communities. The program is aimed at helping youth and adults outside of school continue and
complete their education. Incapable of participating in formal education, program recipients can gain
important knowledge and skills for their daily lives. For better appreciation of the subjects, the lessons
are put into practical application. To create an atmosphere similar to a regular classroom session, a
classroom-based approach is used. In terms of the contribution of the Institute, it includes enhancing
institutional support materials that include basic literacy skills for preschoolers, alternative learning
systems for out - of-school youth and adults, tutorials on mathematics and science, and extended
student services. This SDS involves students in literacy programs in community work. This SDS develops
a compilation of primary and secondary review pamphlets, provides a reviewer of one hundred items
per level, and assists the teaching managers with the learners in their class session. There will be two
terms for these straightforward activities to be performed. Understudies searching for this SDS will serve
all of MAPÚA-CWTS ' accomplice networks. Students are going to plan and implement simple projects
that can help the community with which they are going to immerse themselves, this project must be in
line with their study line.

c. The Socio-Civic Support and Delivery System (200 words)

The Socio-Civic Support and Delivery System (SCSDS) aims to implement student-based
initiatives that build, enhance and maintain community-to-self relationships through broader
community survey data and projects of public awareness or distribution of information on well-being,
natural environment, security and security. This SDS involves students in community-based socio-civic
programs. Some of the programs include: community survey; health awareness programs or
dissemination of health, environment, safety and security information and other relevant issues; EHSDS
and LSDS youth recreation and support group. Students pursuing this SDS will be serving one partner
community. They act as ambassadors of MAPÚA-CWTS. Building relationships and strengthening
relationships between MIT and the communities. Students pursuing this system will only have a partner
community as they act as representatives of MAPÚA-CWTS. Their objective is to build and strengthen
the relationship between MAPÚA and the University-Communities. This system is in charge of
community survey and project profiling and development. This SDS can be allocated to support the
support groups of EHSDS (Engineering and Health Service and Delivery System) and LSDS (Learning
Support and Delivery System). Through this program, the selected community will be assessed according
to their needs. Students can evaluate the community's problems and what assistance they need. SCSDS
will be the one performing profiling and surveying to identify the type of community that the students
will encounter and how safe the area was.
