Write the functions of the body systems, draw them one by one and name the organs.

1. Circulatory system
The main function of the circulatory system is to deliver oxygen to the body tissues, whilst
simultaneously removing carbon dioxide produced by metabolism. Oxygen is bound to
molecules called haemoglobin that are on the surface of the red blood cells in the blood.
2. cardiovascular system
The four major functions of the cardiovascular system are:

● To transport nutrients, gases and waste products around the body

● To protect the body from infection and blood loss
● To help the body maintain a constant body temperature (‘thermoregulation’)
● To help maintain fluid balance within the body
3.Muscular System

The muscular system is responsible for the movement of the human body. Attached to the
bones of the skeletal system are about 700 named muscles that make up roughly half of a
person’s body weight. Each of these muscles is a discrete organ constructed of skeletal
muscle tissue, blood vessels, tendons, and nerves. Muscle tissue is also found inside of the
heart, digestive organs, and blood vessels.
4. Skeletal system

The skeletal system is the body system composed of bones and cartilage and performs the
following critical functions for the human body:

● supports the body

● facilitates movement
● protects internal organs
● produces blood cells
● stores and releases minerals and fat.
5. nervous system
The nervous system is a network of neurons whose main feature is to generate,
modulate and transmit information between all the different parts of the human body.
This property enables many important functions of the nervous system, such as
regulation of vital body functions (heartbeat, breathing, digestion), sensation and body
movements.
6.reproductive system

The female reproductive system is designed to carry out several functions. It produces the
female egg cells necessary for reproduction, called the ova or oocytes. The system is
designed to transport the ova to the site of fertilization. Conception, the fertilization of an egg
by a sperm, normally occurs in the fallopian tubes. The next step for the fertilized egg is to
implant into the walls of the uterus, beginning the initial stages of pregnancy. If fertilization
and/or implantation does not take place, the system is designed to menstruate (the monthly
shedding of the uterine lining). In addition, the female reproductive system produces female
sex hormones that maintain the reproductive cycle.
The purpose of the organs of the male reproductive system is to perform the following
functions:

● To produce, maintain, and transport sperm (the male reproductive cells) and
protective fluid (semen)
● To discharge sperm within the female reproductive tract during sex
● To produce and secrete male sex hormones responsible for maintaining the male
reproductive system
urinary system

The urinary system, also known as the renal system, produces, stores and eliminates
urine, the fluid waste excreted by the kidneys. The kidneys make urine by filtering
wastes and extra water from blood. Urine travels from the kidneys through two thin
tubes called ureters and fills the bladder. When the bladder is full, a person urinates
through the urethra to eliminate the waste.
