THE NEW MUSIC: SUMMARY

In the period 1966-7, three separate

kinds of music - folk, rock and blues
- were brought together, and
influences from other traditions, for
example, Indian, were added, to
make a much more complex sort of
music expressing new attitudes.
Electronic devices were used to give
music a new sound: it became much
louder, and was associated with lighting effects. This, and the use of
drugs, made the audience feel that they were not just listening passively,
but participating in a 'total experience'.

life. Scientists are very excited about this discovery because they have found a planet where water could exist.
In this video, Bruce Friedrich talked about the consequences of producing meat, and how this
affects global health throughout the planet. As explained in the video, in the process of
producing meat, a lot of farm animals are being fed with huge doses of antibiotics that later
become bacteria. These bacteria represent a major threat for the planet since they can become
immune to antibiotics. The speaker said throughout a quote that in order to stabilize the planet
it is necessary a new global agricultural revolution in which humans still produce meat but in a
different way that doesn’t affect the planet. For example: producing meat from plants or
producing meat directly from the cell instead of raising farm animals, but in order to make
these ideas a reality meat companies, governments, and all society need to work on that goal
and create many different alternatives that can actually help the planet. Even though treating
climate change is important for humanity, meat production is becoming a global threat that can
affect the planet. People must create innovative ideas for meat production so that meat won’t be
neither expensive nor tasteless for the people who consume it.
