Carlos.- Welcome to Scotia bank, please come in and take a seat.


Melisa.- Good afternoon.
Martin.- Er.. good afternoon.

Carlos.- First of all, Congratulations on reaching this stage of the selection for the
assistant position in the accounting area at Scotiabank, I’m Carlos and I’m the
Scotiabank chief human resources officer.
Melisa.- And.... I’m Melisa the Scotiabank accounting officer, let's start the interview.
Are you nervous?
Martin.- Nice to meet you both, I’m Martin and, yes I’m a little bit nervous.

Carlos.- Tell us about you.


Martin.- My full name is Martin Huaman, I’m 25 years old and I’m from Huamanga in
Ayacucho.
Melisa.- Excuse me, how do you spell your last name?
Martin.- It’s H-u-a-m-a-n.
Melisa.- Thank you, please continue.

Martin.- I have a degree in financial accounting from the university of Huamanga, in


Ayacucho.
Carlos.- Wow, you are from Ayacucho, it is so far from Lima, and tell us what is your
motivation to apply for this job.
Martin.- I come to Lima in search of new job challenges that allow me to advance at a
professional level, that’s why I’m applying to this job.
Melisa.- Here in Scotiabank we do provide a lot of opportunities, and just like you we
have employees from all over Peru.

Melisa.- Where do you live in Lima?


Martin.- I live in the district of “Los Olivos” near the “Universitaria” avenue.
Melisa.- Are any facilities near your residence?
Martin.- I live near the Real Plaza, there are supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants,
cinemas, etc. there is everything.
Carlos.- It's good that you have everything within reach. Do you live alone in Lima?

Martin.- No, I don’t. I live in my uncle’s house with my uncle and my cousins, they’re
university students.
Carlos.- Are your uncle also an accountant?
Martin.- No, he isn’t, he is an engineer.
Melisa.- What are your soft skills?
Martin.- I am responsible, competitive and very tenacious.

Melisa.- What are your professional goals in our company.


Martin.- I want to gain experience and develop my skills.
Carlos.-Do you consider yourself a team leader?

Martin.- Yes, I do, I ever use my skills to improve the teamwork environment.
Carlos.- Great!, We consider leadership a key quality.
Melisa.-About your adaptability. Can you work under pressure?

Martin.- Yes, I can. I’m very flexible to changes and unexpected situations.
Carlos.- What Are Your Salary Expectations?
Martin. - I expect to receive about s/ 3548.50 (three thousand five hundred forty-eight
soles with fifty cents)
Melisa.- That is a very specific amount. Why that salary amount?

Martin.- I believe that my studies and my skills are worth it.


Carlos.- I like your personality. When can you start?
Martin.- I can start immediately.
Melisa.- This conclude your interview, thank you very much for your time Mr. Huaman.
