How to Apply a PeopleSoft Release Patch (PRP) to a released Image.

Download the BUG patch as normal using the MOS Patches tab, searching for the bug.
Save the downloaded file in the PUM download folder. In this example the location is \\9143o-DEMO-
VIRT\e$\PUM\Download folder.

If a java.lang error message is experienced, then Un-install the current Change Assistant and Re-install it.

Start the Oracle Virtual Box and load the PS Image. Configure the PS Image in Virtual Box as needed.
Take note of the Virtual Box IP Address.

Install Change Assistant using the Image Client PSCA setup.

Start Change Assistant.

Select “Update Manager”.

Fill in General Options

Fill in Server Options:

Select “Apply Downloaded PeopleSoft Release Patch to PeopleSoft Image”

Click “FINISH”

Enter the Name of the Database, then tab off the field.

Enter the Database Info.

C:\PT8.53.08
SQL Client Tool:
C:\oracleclient\product\11.2.0\client_1\BIN\sqlplus.exe

Click TEST CONNECTION to ensure connectivity to the database.

Confirm the Settings, then click FINISH to return to the Patching Target Database Information.

Click NEXT.

Select the Directory where you downloaded the PRP.

Select the PRP to apply.

Verify the summary, then click FINISH.

The Apply Package is generated:

Change Assistant will apply the package:

The PRP is applied.

Next, define a change package as normal to get the fix for the PRP out of the PUM Image.
