The Research Plan must include the following:

A. Statement of the Problem

The main problem of the study is to determine the effectiveness of

Automated Waste Segregation System Robot in proper segregation of wastes using the weight

sensor;

Specifically, it sought to answer the following queries;

1. Is the sketch perspective of the robot successfully followed according to its plan?

2. Are the microcontroller and sensors successfully coded according to its desired

weights?

3. Is the waste segregation robot capable of segregating wastes (tin cans, plastic, and

cellophane) according to the different weights of bin holes?

a. 1 -19 g

b. 20 – 29 g

c. 30 – 60 g

4. Can the sensor’s accuracy determine the object in corresponding place inside the bin

holes?

B. Hypotheses

From the problems stated, the following hypotheses are formulated.

H1:
1. The sketch perspective of the robot is successfully followed according to its plan.

2. The microcontroller and sensors are successfully coded according to its desired

weights.

3. The waste segregation robot capable of segregating wastes (cellophane, tin cans, and

plastic) according to the different weights;

a. 1g – 19 g

b. 20 g – 29 g

c. 30 g – 60 g

4. The sensor determines the object in corresponding place inside the hatch in its

assigned weights.
