Transcript:
Pets need food, shelter and medical care . But pets can’t get their own dinner, turn on the
heater or find the vet’s phone number. That’s your job!
Let’s imagine you want a puppy. Before you get one, you should ask yourself these
questions. How much space is there in your house? Have you got enough free time to take a
dog for a daily walk? You should also remember that sooner or later visits to the vet are
necessary. Have you got enough money to pay the vet?
And what about your puppy’s food? Somebody has to go to the shop and buy it. Then
somebody has to feed the puppy every day. And of course, somebody has to wash the
puppy’s food bowl!
If you know deep down that you want a puppy because it’s cute but not the responsibility of
looking after it, then wait until you are older.
