Introduction
This module is designed for you to make your home-based learning in EPP
interesting and meaningful as we care for your safety and well-being.
Caring for a pets at home is a popular past time for many kids. It helps one to
understand and communicate with animals as pets. Besides, one learns to be
affectionate, patient, and gentle to animals. Learn more about how you can take care
of of your pets well in this lesson.
The tests that you will answer will help you determine your knowledge before,
during and after the different lessons.

Cats are also one of the loved pets at home. Feed cats with ready-to-eat cat
food leftovers from the family meal. Cat should trained for feeding and toilet
training simiar to dogs. Unlike dogs they do not take a bath. They also do
not need a house like dogs. A mat can serve as their sleeping place.
Pigeons are colorful, affectionate, and smart birds. They are sensitive that
is why their cages should always be clean and well ventilated. Feed
pigeons three times a day together with fresh clean water.s Pigeons can be
good sources of income.
Lovebirds are attractive, affectionate and with chirping skills. There are 9
types of lovebirds.

Hamsters are also popular pets of children as they cuddly good-natured,
and easy to take care of. They live in a house or acquarium and feed on
grains, fruits, seeds, pellets, and vegetables

Guinea pigs are Gos’s gentlest creatures. They are excellent pets for their
low maintainance and stability. Keep them in a pen that is cozy as they
easily get heat or stroke. Give them plenty of quality hay for nesting and
snacking.
