1. Buton Palace Fortress Buton Palace Fortress is the widest and most unique fortress in the world. This fort in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province was awarded by the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) and the Guinness Book Record in September 2006 as the world's largest fortress of 23,375 hectares. The area of this fort covers an area of the village that is Melai Village which is also listed as one of the most populous areas in the city. With a length of three kilometers, a height of four meters, and a width of two meters, the fort surrounds the original traditional village of Buton with old houses that remain preserved. When you visit this place, you will first see the right-hand side of the fort's gate is the Great Mosque of Wolio, which has another name for the Al Muqarrabin Syafyi Shaful Mu'min Mosque. The mosque, which is 300 years old, is still actively used today, especially during Friday Prayers. Many interesting objects that you can see inside the Buton Palace fortress, such as the Wolio stone, popaua stone, the grand mosque, the tomb of Sultan Murhum (the first Sultan of Buton), the Badia Palace, and ancient cannons. 2. Nirwana Beach One more beach in Indonesia that you must visit is Nirwana Beach. The location is in Sula Village, Betoambari District, Bau-Bau, Buton, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The distance is about nine kilometers from downtown Bau-Bau. In this beach area, diving activities and underwater beauty photography are often found by foreign tourists For those of you who visit Nirwana Beach will not be charged a penny but if you go to that place by using a private vehicle you will be charged a tariff of 2,000 rupiahs for motorbikes and 3,000 rupiahs for cars. For access to Nirwana Beach, it is about nine kilometers from the center of Bau-Bau. Access to the beach is quite easy. It can be reached using land vehicles either private vehicles or public transportation such as motorcycle taxis. It takes about 15 minutes from downtown Bau-Bau or only about 5-10 minutes from Bau-Bau Airport. There are many signposts that inform the location of the beach. When using a motorcycle taxi it costs around Rp 10,000 to Rp 20,000 per person. 3. Samparona Pine Forest If you want to do a tour this weekend, you and your family should visit the Samparona Pine Forest Tour in the Village of Kaisabu Baru, Sorawolio District, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi. Pine Forest Tourism is one of the new tourist attractions in the City of Baubau and is one of the mainstay tourist attractions for residents. Now the location is a cool family tourist attraction on weekends. Not infrequently, migrants also take the time to just relax for a moment. Supporting facilities are quite complete. There are also other facilities, such as duck water bikes or fiberglass water that can spoil visitors. Access is fairly easy. Don't worry about the state of the parking space. Here a special parking area is provided. 2. Lakadao Beach One beautiful tourist spot that is a pity if you miss while visiting South Buton is Lakadao Beach. This beach is located in Burangasi Village, Lapandewa District, South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Because the place is still very natural, making this beach is always crowded with people and local tourists. In the middle of the beach, there is a large rock on top of which there is a small house like a gazebo that you can use to rest, not infrequently tourists also use this gazebo as a property to take pictures To reach Lakadao beach, there are three alternative paths you can take. First, from the city of Baubau, you can go directly to the village of Burangasi, about one and a half hours using a two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicle. After arriving in the village of Burangasi, we have to walk for two hours to get to the location. Second, from the city of Baubau directly go to Wabula Village, Buton Regency, about two hours. Meanwhile, the third alternative route from the city of Baubau goes directly to Bahari Village, South Buton Regency, about one and a half hours. In the village, you can rent a boat, with a price of IDR 350,000 / trip. 3. Kalata Waterfall One of the waterfalls that are quite crowded by people on weekends is the Kalata waterfall. The location is located in Sukamaju Village, Wolowa District, Buton District, approximately 20 km from Pasarwajo via the road that leads to Lasalimu. The travel time from Pasarwajo takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour. The rest is still in the form of dirt roads which are difficult for vehicles to pass during the rainy season. Kalata Waterfall consists of two levels. The first waterfall is not too high, but quite wide. This waterfall is flanked by steep cliffs on the left side, but slightly sloping on the right side. The water flow is also not too heavy. The second waterfall is higher and steep. Underneath there is a deep pool flanked by steep rock layers. These rocks form elongated walls resembling large canals. In addition to swimming, bathing, and playing with water, some visitors also make a meal together by burning fish or eating food prepared earlier.
