DESIGN OF EXHAUST AND VENTILATION SYSTEM

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

A proposed five (5) basement pay parking of a certain building is to be installed with an exhaust and
supply fans. Each basement has a dimension of 30.0m width x 40.0 m length x 3.0m height. The pay
parking operation is from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Saturday.

REQUIREMENTS

Prelims (October 17, 2020, 7:30 PM)

1. Specify the number, type and capacity of fans selected.

2. Show the complete computation of each capacity, your assumptions and the charts and tables
used.
3. Indicate the size of supply and ventilation duct.

Midterms (October 31, 2020, 7:30 PM)

4. Draw the floor plan indicating the location of each fans including the air distribution system.
Provide sectional view.
5. Show mounting details of each fan and label.
6. Provide an equipment schedule. (see example below)

Finals (November 14, 2020, 7:30 PM)

7. Prepare a tabulated bill of materials and approximate investment cost.

8. Prepare an annual power consumption.
9. Final submission.
