Question # 1:
If you were supposed to remove a certain organ in your body, what would it be? Support your answer.

If I were supposed to remove a certain organ in my body, I would choose to remove my tailbone and my wisdom
teeth. Why you might ask because they are both vestigial organs, vestigial organs are organs present in a body that
is more or less have no useful function inside the body.
Let’s define the wisdom teeth, Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late
teens or early twenties. Sometimes these teeth can be a valuable asset to the mouth when healthy and properly
aligned, but more often, they are misaligned and require removal.
According to the definition above not all molars or wisdom tooth are aligned that’s why I would like to remove it.
Reasons are:
 I can chew and digest food with or without my wisdom tooth.
 if not removed in my body, and the wisdom tooth grows out of alignment it would cause a great amount of
pain to myself doing more harm than good to my health.
 lastly without removing it to your body with an early diagnosis it would cost you double the amount of money
just to remove that certain tooth that is causing pain to and discomfort to my body.
Tailbone or coccyx in medical terminology is a bone at the bottom of the spine and helps to support the pelvis. It is
possible to injure or fracture the tailbone, causing inflammation and pain. Persistent tailbone pain is called as
“coccydynia”. The tailbone is triangular and consists of between three and five semi-fused bones.
Us humans have this principle sometime that we came and evolved from our primate ancestors which of course are
similar to our primate animals we know of today like Apes and Orangutans which is believed to have tails way back in
the past.
So the function of the coccyx or our tailbone is just as a support if I myself is going to sit or in a sitting position but
let’s be honest even if without this bone we can still control our balance with the help of our 8th cranial nerve which is
the vestibulocochlear.
In my opinion these parts of our body are still just remain or what we called romanced of the past due to the evolution
of humans these organs grew out of place and slightly losing its purpose in our body.
Even if these organs are somewhat or more or less are losing its purpose to us without the right reasons and
conditions as student nurse we should always take note that we should always consult a physicians before doing or
making any risky decision that may cause hard to our body and my cause fatality and death to us.

Question #2:
If you were to be an organ, what would it be? Support your answer.

This question may be somewhat tricky to answer and when you think of it it’s really hard to pick for just one but this
time I think this would outstand the other organs and this is of course listed as one of our most important organ in our
body.
So if you asked me if I were to be an organ, I would choose to become the Hear.
You might wonder why the heart, “you could at least have chosen the brain because it is the control center of our
body.” Ok so hear me out first why did I chose the heart let’s make a check list that would make my decision
concrete.
 The heart is the strongest and restless muscle on my stand.
o Our heart started beating and functioning when we are still just inside of the womb of our mothers,
it is also one of the first organs to have been developed when we are still contain to our moms cute
tummies.
o It may be a small organ just a size of an average person’s fist but this organ have been with us
through hardships our ups and down and lastly in our sleep this organ can work non-stop, we all
know that when the heart stops it will be also the end of our life and that would fatal for us humans.
o The heart beats at an average rate of 80 times a minute, about 115,000 times in one day or 42
million times in a year. Imagine just how it can manage our life and can work inside of our body, if
you think you are restless at work your heart is also restless note that the hart don’t have any
vacation leave, no holidays, just to supply our need which is:
o The blood which contain oxygen to help us breath and live and give out oxygen throughout our
body, it can supply the brain up to the littlest capillaries we have in our body that how important this
organ can be in our body.
 It is one of the most delicate organ in our body.
o It might be a hard working organ but it is the most prone organ to be a magnet of diseases and
completions, though time our heart also gets tired and start to slow down, and due to the diet that
we are used to have in our time our heart can’t live long enough to support our kind of lifestyle.
o The best way to help this organ is to keep ourselves health, keep track a healthy diet and exercise
everyday.
