Identifying the issue in a fable
To be able to identify the issue, we must understand the lesson
learned from the story.
1. Discuss the issue/problem in this story.
The issue in the story is that Grasshopper did not prepare for winter, not realizing he might starve
or die of cold.

2. What did either character do to solve the problem?


The ant and the grasshopper did not do anything to solve the problem. Grasshopper realize too
late that he should have prepared for winter and Ant did nothing but to warn him.

3. How does the story teach us the lesson?


The story teaches us to……….
a) Look ahead and do things at the right time.
b) Step in to help others whenever they are in need without judging whether they deserve it or
not.
c) Doing no work can be a problem.
