Concepts:
In generating business idea, you should first identify what type of business is
suited to your business idea. You should analyze and scan the potential
environment, study the marketing practices and strategies of your competitors,
analyze the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and the Threats in your
environment to ensure that the products/goods and services you are planning to
offer will be patronized within the easy reach by your target markets/consumers.

ACTIVITY 1: Survey Questionnaire to Determine Potential Competitors

Let us assume that you are an entrepreneur who wants to start a business
related to automotive servicing in your locality. It is important then for you to know
not only the products/services you should sell and your potential customers, but also
your potential competitors. You can do this by conducting a survey.

DIRECTION: Administer the survey questionnaire (Personal and Business Profile) to


generate data on your potential competitor. Conduct the survey within your locality or
through Facebook whichever suits you. Target at least 3 respondents.
