Fitting the electronic sheet checking device is carried out

according to the WEKO fitting instructions.
Set a gap of 0.1 mm between the parts (1 and 2 ).
Turn the printing unit to 244'.
Turn the primary coil (1) before tightening the allen screw ( Smm )
against the paper run direction until the control light 2 on
primary coil (1) lights up. With the primary coil in this position,
tighten the allen screws.

Putting in the feeder 460.00.70.28.0

Built in the pre-mounted side lay block.

Ensure the side lay traverse is exactly parallel to and
at the same height as the feeder table. Clamp fast.

The distance of the feeder from printing unit 1 is accor-

ding to the length of the feeder front table, which is
screwed together with the lay traverse.

A gauge between the upper feed roll shaft and the transport
roller shaft on the feeder ( permissible tolerance 0.1 mm )
ensures they are parallel. At the sides the feeder should
be connected to the side parts of the printing unit.

After correct fitting the feeder side parts are screwed

together with the base frame of the printing unit with a
distance bar.

Dismantle the drive pulley for pull-type lay and feeder.

Put the driving belt for the feeder on the pull-type lay
shaft. Mount the drive pulley and tension belt for the
feeder drive.

Put on the outer, shorter toothed-belt and tension.

Turn the side lay spindle to the press so that the pulling
roller lifts 0.025 mm off at 250' on the graduated disc.

Both side lays, sides 1 and 2, should be checked for exact

matching. If necessary, loosen both spindle halves at the
connection point and turn both until they match.

There must be a check at 207' on the graduated disc to see

if both side lays have just come to rest on a 0.1 mm thick
paper.

Basic setting of the feeder:

Before fitting the feeder to the printing unit resp. in case of

control of the sheet arrival or sheet registering time ( page
460.00.70.08.2 ) automatic sheet adjustment mechanism has to be
positioned in the center of the setting range.

Basic setting of the automatic sheet adjustment mechanism can be

made by means of the manual drive or an electrical adjusting
motor. This depends on the feeder equipment.
