Ink rollers on and off setting
460.00.70.31.

Fit unibal coupling head (I) to the pneumatic cylinder (2)

with a distance of 81.3 mm from the upper edge of the side
part to the upper edge of the bar head (1) with rollers in
start position.

Turn the upper and lower damping screws (3) on the pneumatic
cylinder as far as they will go inwards, then unscrew one turn.

Mount cam (1) onto gear (3) and screw tight.

Mount the eccentric (B) with the lever bar so that the centre of
the small sheet radius of the cam (1) coincides with the line A-B,
and forms an angle of 35' to the vertical beneath. This means the
line between the adjustable eccentric (C) and point D should go
through the centre point A and make an angle of 58' with the
line A-B.

Should the adjustable eccentric (C) be above centre point "a"

( i.e. when distribution is Zero ) secure the dial (5) in Zero-
position at point A.

The stepless ink dosage between 0' and 85' on the duct (6) is
achieved unsing the handwheel (7).

If point F lies over point E, the dosage is Zeron and in this

position set the dial (8) to Zero.
With this setting the inking unit on the printing unit is set
at 0'.
For multicolour presses the ink distribution to a sheet running
through the press in all printing units must be carried out in
the same direction and, for each, by the same distributor.
This setting can also be reached afterwards by adjusting the front
register by a 360' turn.

cylinder = 12mm

Check the rollers ( 7-8-9 ) are parallel

Put in the tension spring (3). Place the cam roller (2) at the
starting point of the large radius of the cam (1) in the turning
direction of the cam (1). Place the steering disc (10) using the
pneumatic (II) in I'print on 'I-
position ( pneumatic stroke in ).

Lean the feed roller (7) on the duct (8) and hold in this position.
Mount the adjusting screw (5), spring bolt (14) and pressure
spring (13 ) with grease, and screw into the lever (12).

Set distance of. 0.1 mm between the lever (4) and the spring
bolt (14). Fasten the levers (12) and (15) in this position,
then tension the pressure spring (13) with 6 turns only of the
adjusting screw (5). Secure the adjusting screw (5) from the
side against any twisting. Set a distance of 0.2 mm between the
stop screw (6) and lever (4).

Fitting the standard damping unit
460.00.70.36.(

The damping distributor rollers (12) and (13, are fitted parallel
to the damping cylinder (15) by means of the eccentrics El2 and
El3 ( check with feeler gauge 1. Cam El2 points down to the left
and cam El3 down to the right. Both cams are clamped.

The springs (14) and (19) are tensioned to the measurement of

34 mm. Clamping strengths between distributor rollers (12) and (13)
and plate cylinder (11) are adjustable using the adjusting
screws (17) or (18) respectively.

When the pneumatic cylinder (23) is in, the control shaft (16)
lies parallel between the levers (20) and (21). $n this position
fasten the control lever (22) with the shaft (16). When the
pneumatic cylinder (23) is out (full stroke ) the distributor
rollers (12) and (13) are off.

The vibrator (25) is fitted parallel to the distributor

roller (15) using the cam E25. Check with feeler gauge.
The cam E25 points downwards.

Tension spring (36) to 40 mm.

Set a distance of 0.5 mm between the stop screw (26) and stop
( square ). Put the gauge (27) between the small radius of the
control cam (33) and the cam roller (2).

Set the pressure between vibrator (25) and duct (24) and ensure
they are parallel, using the adjusting screws (34). Fix this
setting with clamping screws (35).

Remove the gauge (27).

The pneumatic cylinder (29) is fitted so that there is a gap I

of 0.5 mm between the web lever (1) and clutch (4) when it is
outt and between the matter (28) and clutch (4) when it is in.

Check clamping and functions.
