COMPLAINT LETTER
To:
Mr. Jason Brown,
HR Head,
Red Hill Corporation,
67-K, Rose Villa,
Park Street,
London.
Date: 21.7.14
Dear Mr. Brown,
Subject: employee complaint letter
I am writing this letter to lodge an official complaint against my team leader Mr. John Green. Mr.
Green been continuously bullying me for the past six months.
From the time Mr. Green has become our team leader for the project, he is constantly bullying
me and some of my colleagues too. Mr. John is responsible for creating a tensed environment
in the office which is also the reason why we are not able to perform our jobs properly. I have
already tried contacting the supervisor but he was not very interested in hearing my issue which
is the reason I was forced to contact you for investigating the matter.
The constant pressure from Mr. Green has led to the downfall of my self-confidence and self-
esteem I had already tried to deal with the situation on my own but when all the doors of escape
were closed; I had no other option than contacting you.
Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible as it is becoming very difficult for us to cope up
with this constant pressure.
Thank you for going through my complaint letter
Sincerely.
Andy Anderson.

ADJUSTMENT LETTER

Michele Cain
Barclays Bank
P.O. Box 43844-64000
Re: Refusal Adjustment Letter
Dear Boris Lieznov,
I have received your complaint letter expressing your discontent about the denial of credit by our
institution. Thank you for expressing your concerns through your complaint. For the immense
value we place on you as our customer, we take it as our responsibility to ensure that you are
satisfied with our services and get assistance whenever you visit our offices.
From your account of your problem, you feel that you were not given the opportunity to access
our credit facilities by our officers in charge. I now take this step to respond to your queries,
hopefully to your satisfaction.
In your letter, you indicated that you sought credit from our firm but was unsuccessful. In
addition to the plans you had for the credit, the denial must have cost you time and energy. It
was clear that you were disappointed that you did not receive the credit that you were seeking.
However, the application details that you provided us indicated that you did not meet the criteria
to be granted credit. The officer in charge acted in accordance to our lending laws and policies.
Despite the fact that we honour the satisfaction of our clients, a number of conditions have been
laid down to ensure that we serve you better. These form the guideline and the criteria basis of
our lending policies.
Our current policies require that in order for a customer to qualify for credit, they should have
been in employment for a minimum of one year. Customers in new jobs find it difficult to get
credit. However, your period of one year is close by and we hope that next time you will be
extended credit after the one-year elapses. This policy applies to all of our branches, and to a
large extent, all firms in the industry.
A verification of databases indicates that you have not been on credit before. As we issue credit
to our customers, we have to be certain that every customer has the ability to pay. This is
demonstrated by past information about your credit payment. The best way to ascertain your
ability to repay the credit is past information about your payment patterns. In the absence of
this, other avenues could be explored. For example, we could require you to give us proof or
evidence indicating your ability to pay or some form of collateral. However, the latter is the last
resort given to our salaried clients.
Additionally, your name does not appear on the electoral role as it supposed to be the case for
all residents of this region. Any customer not in the electoral role cannot be issued credit as
lending institutions use it as a reference to extend credit to all their customers, proving that they
are residents. For your name and details to appear in the credit role, you have to seek
registration. There are a number of reasons why your name does not appear on the role. But
the obvious one is that you have never sought registration. For the ease of service next time,
please register for an inclusion in the electoral role. This way, you can gain access to credit
facilities from any institution.
Cited above are the reasons why our officers could not honor your application for credit. They
acted upon rules and regulations put down by the management, thus binding their actions. In
case you successfully meet the above requirements, we have no obligation to deny you credit
whatsoever.
Thank you for keeping in touch with us and for raising your concerns about the issue. We try our
best to give you the best service possible, aimed at satisfying your needs. It is our duty to
respond to any queries that you may have to give you the best service. We hope that your query
has been settled. We look forward to doing business with you in future.
Yours truly,
Michele Cain

Dr. Maria Gomez-Salinas

Director of the Diabetes Clinic
St. David's Hospital
1000 Greenberg
Lane Wichita, KS 66780

Dear Dr. Gomez-Salinas:

I am writing you in hopes of finding out more about how the new Glucoscan II blood glucose
monitoring system, which a representative at Lifescan informed me that your clinic is currently
using.
Originally, I saw Lifescan's advertisement of this new device in the January 19XX issue of
Diabetes Forecast and became very interested in it. I wrote the company and got much useful
information, but was recommended to write several current users of the system as well.
For a technical report that I am writing for a technical writing class at Johnson County Junior
College, I need some help with the following questions:
1. How often does the Glucoscan II need to be calibrated practical, everyday use
conditions?
2. How accurate is the Glucoscan II compared to other? similar systems that your patients
have used?
3. What problems do your patients experience with this new device?
The Lifescan representative indicated that your clinic is one the leaders in implementing new
technology for diabetics, and therefore I am eager to hear from you. In the report I will
acknowledge your contributions, and I will send you a copy of the completed report if you wish.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,

LETTTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Steve Smith
123 A Street
City center, NY 1234

September 21, 2012

Bill Jones
345 B Street
City center, NY 12345

Dear Mr. Jones,

I am writing on behalf of Sally Somers regarding the position of Museum Curator Assistant at
City center Museum. Sally and I are both majoring in Art History at State College, and we have
taken several classes together and worked on many projects. During that time, I have gotten to
know Sally quite well and can thoroughly vouch for her character and abilities.
Sally is a pleasure to work with because her pleasant and positive attitude can make nearly any
work seem fun and interesting. She usually became the leader of our group projects and always
handled the position fairly by making sure everyone had equal amounts of work that they
enjoyed. If we had someone in our group who would continuously complain, rather than getting
upset, Sally would continue to point out the positives until the person began to enjoy
themselves.
For classes, Sally always took the initiative to make sure her work was done exceptionally well.
She also made sure she was thoroughly prepared to participate at length in class discussions.
Due to her love of art and determination to spread her passion, Sally organized a group that
volunteers at nearby schools to teach children the importance of understanding and
appreciating art. Although Sally is graduating this year, the excitement she put into this group
has given the younger members the passion to want to continue volunteering.
Sally is also willing to work on areas she feels she could improve upon. She realized quickly
during our freshman year that her fear of public speaking was holding her back in class, so she
worked diligently to improve her speaking abilities. She even took a speech class to gain
confidence. She improved so much that the teacher decided to use her as an example for future
classes, and she is now able to communicate effectively with everyone she encounters.
With her relentless motivation and her knowledge of art, Sally would bring a wealth of
knowledge and skills to the City center Museum. I know she would be an excellent fit for your
organization. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at the above address.
Best,
Steve Smith

Business Letter of Intent to Rent or Lease a Space

Ms. Maria Dela Cruz

Zone Administrator
ABC Mall

Dear Ms. Dela Cruz,

XYZ Foods would like to present this Letter of Intent to signify our interest in leasing a
commercial space inside ABC Mall.

We are the business behind the food cart, W Burgers, which has been selling gourmet
hamburgers since 2004. Our products include a variety of hamburger sandwiches and burger
rice meals. We also sell ice cold beverages. Currently, our burger sandwiches and rice meals
sell for P80 each. Our clients are usually young professionals who order our food as packed
meals for lunch or dinner.
The W Burger food cart that we plan to put up would require at least 6 square meters and a
power outlet for a cash register, a small freezer, a rice cooker, a soda vendo machine and a gas
operated frying griddle. The food cart would be manned by two employees.

We already have 5 branches located in various commercial areas in the city but this is our first
venture in putting up a branch inside a mall. Attached are the photos of our existing branches.

We believe that our food cart complements the business concept of ABC Mall because we cater
to the same target market. Thus, we would appreciate it if you could contact us at 555-0921
during office hours from Mondays to Thursdays, so we can set up a meeting to discuss this
further and possibly come up with a formal business agreement.

Thank you very much.

Respectfully,

Mr. Pedro Reyes

SAMPLE MEMO

To: Customers of Chloe’s Cupcakes

From: Dan Lionel, Public Relations Liaison
Date: May 12, 2012
Subject: Publication of Nutrition Facts

Due to extensive customer feedback, we at Chloe’s Cupcakes would like to demonstrate our
commitment to making healthy choices by publishing nutrition information for all of our baked
goods. Although our stores would not be required by law to provide the nutrition facts of our
products, we agree that customers should have access to as much information as they desire
before making a purchase. We are confident that that you, the customer, will feel better about
choosing Chloe’s Cupcakes once you are aware of these facts. We are committed to use the
best locally grown ingredients in our baked goods, and we freshly prepare all of our desserts
each morning. Moreover, we have
a line of vegan treats that substitute some of the highest calorie ingredients in non vegan
goods with healthier options—while still delivering great flavor. For those customers who are
looking to splurge, we have an exquisite selection of decadent treats too, including our famous
crème brûlée macaroon sundae.
All of our nutrition information will be available online, along with a list of ingredients and
possible substitutes for those with dietary restrictions. We will also provide pamphlets in stores
with the same information, to be updated periodically. As it is cumbersome to obtain accurate
nutritional analyses of handmade food products, we are unable to guarantee access to
nutritional information for seasonal flavors and promotional items.

Best,
Dan Lionel
