COVID-19 Response in Your Community

1. Do you think COVID-19 is addressed according to the objectives of disaster epidemiology as lectured?
COVID-19 is addressed according to the objectives of disaster epidemiology because it shows that
the government make some steps to prevent and reduce the number of deaths and illnesses by
implementing rules and regulations. They also provide a health information to the organization
that making some vaccine for this virus and also improve preventions and making some strategies
for preparation how to stop completely this virus.

2. What can you observe from your community regarding the pandemic response?
They implement barangay coding in my community to prevent too much crowd in the streets and
wet market that can spread too fast in the community.

3. How do you think can the country improve its overall response to combatting COVID-19?
I don’t think so if they can improve the overall response in combatting COVID-19 because the
government here in the Philippines don’t listen to health workers what should we do to make this
virus stopped or even flattened the curve.

 Do you think we as the people of our country need to also do our part in the pandemic response? How do
you think can we as ordinary citizens help with fighting COVID-19 in our communities?

As a bonus question, maaari po bang ako’y magtagalog na lamang upang maipaliwanag ko po ng maigi at
malinaw ang aking sagot? Bilang isang mamamayan po makinig sana tayo sa mga health workers, hindi porket
walang nakakita satin na pulis na walang face masks or face shield e hindi na tayo mag susuot. Yun ang problema sa
mga Pilipino, mahilig magreklamo bakit ganito ganyan, pero sa simpleng instructions ay hindi tayo sumusunod.

Hindi man tayo mga health workers para tumulong sa mga may sakit, tumulong naman tayo sa mga health
workers na bawasan ang mga numero na nagkakaroon ng COVID-19. Pag sinabing social distancing, social
distancing. Hindi ko ba alam sa mga Pilipino. Nakakaintindi naman sila ng tagalog, bakit hirap na hirap silang
intindihin at sundin ito.
